ok so i know your not allowed drums in parkhead, i offered the guys in 445 a drum and it seemed to be going ok til celtic said no......but tell me WHY the * were SCOTLAND fans allowed in to parkhead with drums and bagpipes yet they tell us no?

surely celtic had SOME say on what can and cannot be taken into parkhead even at an international game.

One rules for them.....another for us

There's a guy up in 445 with a small drum. Also at the back row the sheeting behind the seats is a really usefull drum. Dont know if drums are the answer but dont suppose it would do any harm.

yeah i sit in 444 and i know a few people have brought in bohdrans(sp) and that but i just feel....especially when you watch for example a match from spain, italy, germany....something as simple as a drum can get the whole crowd going, its makes more people want to join in......and they cant use the excuse of it being dangerous.....445 is the furthest away place possible from the away support, so unless there any super human olympic javellin throwers up there , then theres no problems

Can't see the problem ??...anything that might get the rest of the stadium more involved has to be a good thing.

Sounds good to me - as long as the guy who has it has some sort of rhythm, dunno if a breakbeat would get everyone going!

oh dear ghod i hope they're banned from the ground.

wether we have a crap atmosphere or not, the drums are not an answer. we'll only be like all the other pathetic football grounds that need instruments to get an atmosphere.

we don't get an atmosphere for two reasons:

    1. too many new supporters that haven't went through the bad times.

    2. we play the likes of st mirren and dunfermline, none of these new fans can be bothered singing during these game.

it's all about beating the traffic after the games that matters to these eejits the most. "oh, it's 1-0 with ten minutes to go, but i'm more worried about being stuck in traffic than the opposition pulling a goal back".

    rant over.

Also at games like St Mirren and Dunfermline we get an absolutely dyer attendance. I'd be more intent on getting stuck into the people who don't turn up to those games as oposed to those who leave 10 minutes early.
Personally I don't like the idea of drums, if someone was behind me for most of the season with one I'd quite frankly want to break his neck.

Rosco, most of these fans are season ticket holders that can't afford to go to every game, like fans travelling from ireland. i wouldn't look down on them compared to fans that can afford, but leave too early.

i for one only get over about once or twice a season as i just can't afford it, and i certainly wouldn't leave early, even if it's 5-0 either way.

If you appreciate the fact that some people can't get to games due to how far away they live then surely you can understand why some leave with 5 minutes to go. For a 7:45 gamee, it's the differance between getting home at 11:30 or 12:30 for me, I know which one I'd prefer.

i just can't agree with you on this one rosco.

not being able to afford to go to a game far outweighs getting home an hour earlier.
