I heard he left Old-Trafford on Crutches and it could be a groin injury:eek:

If Its Groin Strain, He Can Have My Groin...

Id Rather Do Wthout Than Have Telfer Playin For The Old Firm or in the CL!!!!

There's no word, which is worrying coz they usually tell you the next day. I hope to * he's not badly injured, I'll do myself in if Telfer has to play the rancids and any more CL games.

Its annoying that Celtic dont update the fans properly on player injuries. We were left in the dark with the length of Beattie's injury

Wilson out with broken metatarsal !!!!

    Wilson out with broken metatarsal

Mark Wilson confirmed to Celtic Quick News this afternoon that he broke his metatarsal bone during Wednesday night’s Champions League match at Old Trafford. He expects to be out for six weeks.

Wilson has been the most consistent Celtic defender since joining the club in January, his absence will undoubtedly stretch Gordon Strachan’s Champions League plans.

NO DOUBT PAUL TELFER WILL TAKE HIS PLACE :87:

    Threads Merged.

Quite simply this is a disaster. Mark Wilson has played very well since the day he joined Celtic. He is a huge loss to our squad especially for the CL games.

Aye bad news aright.Next 2 games tho Dunfermline and St Mirren provide good opportunity for Balde to get games under his belt and then maybe shift Caldwell across to the right.Think he's played there couple of times for Hibs so don't want to state the obvious but surely a better option then Telfer.Or even maybe time to blood the likes of Cuthbert??

Face up to it guys, Telfer may be * but he is the only right back we have left. There is no point in playing centre half's there. A better option would be to play someone other than Nakamura in front of him to give a bit of cover. Telfer played against the huns last year without any problems, mainly because Naka was left out. Naka is wonderfully gifted but playing behind him must be a nightmare.

3-5-2 is the way to go.

    ---------------------Boruc------

    -----------Balde--McManus--Caldwell--

    Nakamura-Jarosik-Lennon-Graveson-Maloney

    ------------------Miller--JVOH-----

We all know it makes sense. I'd rather play with ten * men than with Telfer frankly.

Are you nuts, Balde will get chewed out of it because Naka cant defend effectively. Maloney isnt the best at it either. Ya need 2 Mark Wilsons with flair for 3-5-2. We dont have them

Lennon and Graveson can play deeper to protect them. At Parkhead we can certainly afford to take a few chances.

Gravesen isnt really a defensive midfielder, he played there for Madrid and that didnt work out. His best position is attacking midfielder. We could try it out but for CL games it could be too much of a risk

This is a blow to the already weak defense, I read in the Evening Times that Rangers have to play better, and the only glimmer of hope is green, something like that, well thats how I see it with Celtic once again in the CL, its a glimmer for we certainly have improved signing wise, but we HAVE to sign and spend in January.

Nah not after seeing that * last night even with Telfer we'd murder the
huns that Molde shower are 3rd or 4th from bottom in Norway. Not worried at all about facing them.Europe though is a different story

I think you've got a point there you know, Sno played something like 9 positions last season for Feyenoord(was it Feyenoord?) I'm sure one of them was right back.

The lad was good at Stamford Bridge, think he's worth a shot, especially against Dunfermline.
