I don't take particular joy in venting rage at the SFA either but it's something that needs to be done, we can't just let them get away with it.

It's a sad indicament of our support that we can't even unite as one in our fight against the SFA in the wake of these revelations.

I agree with OverandOver here. While these revelations certainly show dodgy goings on and lies, I think there is a danger of people equating that with a top to bottom conspiracy against Celtic.

The danger is that so many people here seem to be under the impression that next week, half the SFA will be gone, Michel Platini and Sepp Blatter are going to step in, declare Rangers' last few league wins void and retroactively award Celtic 10 in a row or something. It's not going to happen. And not because the SFA will band together, but rather because this incident proves nothing other than McDonald tried to cover up a mistake by shifting blame onto someone else and his pal Dallas Helped him.

Don't get me wrong they should both be punted, but this is not the 'Celtic fans were right all along' story that it's being paraded as.

I don't see how fighting against our national football association is anything other than counter productive. To be honest, I don't like it at away games when the fans chant "* the sfa" because I would rather we started chants to support the team. Of course, I hope they are condemned for their lies, but I think they were just cowards more than anything, trying to make themselves look good. If the sfa had such deeply-rooted anti-celtic bias, I don't see why Craven didn't use this opportunity to tell us all.

I think its more to do with the fact that both men have a history of being unkind to Celtic and this, in a game involving us, tends to lend credence to what many have thought for many a year. If they were prepared to go to the lengths they have 2 weeks ago, what is there to suggest they have been honest in the past.

While I'm quite prepared to believe there is bias and corruption at the SFA and if evidence ever comes along I'll embrace it. At the moment however, this is not it.

I agree mate, there is no reason why we would blindly back up the sfa, it's just that there is not enough evidence to support institutionalised bias. I would also happily embrace the idea if the evidence was there.

That I would agree with. Just maybe not the giant leap that some here are convinced it is.

He would need absolute proof, hands on edvidence or he would have to answer for it in the courts.
I think the ball is in celtics court and its up to them to put the cat amongst the pigeons and watch them scatter. If celtic keep pushing something big will give.

I dont need a weather man to tell me its * down. it you know what i mean.

DOUGIE McDONALD last night broke his silence on the Tannadice penalty - and confessed to feeling ASHAMED over his part in the big lie.

McDonald put his side of the story to SunSport in a dramatic interview.
The whistler has already been punished by SFA chiefs for his part in lying to refs observer Jim McBurney and Celtic boss Neil Lennon after the Hoops' 2-1 win over Dundee United on October 17.
McDonald overturned a penalty award for Celtic for a Dusan Pernis challenge on Gary Hooper after a consultation with linesman Steven Craven.
It was HIS call but he then allowed a false story to be fed to McBurney and Lennon that it was Craven who had called him over to question the decision.
McDonald, who won't quit as a grade one ref and intends to see out his final 18 months before retiring, said: "Ashamed is exactly the feeling I've felt the whole time since then.
"In the heat of the moment we've said this concoction. Why?
"There was no sense in it, it was a stupid thing to do and I've regretted every moment of it since.
"It was a split second of madness. Ever since Tannadice it's been torture for me, very difficult. It's been murder for me. I've felt under huge pressure over the over-reaction to it all.
"It's affected my chain of thought, my business, my family life.
"I put what happened right as quickly as I could. I was annoyed and ashamed at what I'd done and that's why I phoned Hugh Dallas straight away.
"It was out of character and wasn't the right thing to do. I've apologised to all concerned for the part I played.
    "I'm remorseful over it all."
SFA chief Stewart Regan refused to axe McDonald and he's certainly not for quitting.
He added: "I'm not going to do that."
