Do we miss Robson and Hartley

I don't buy into the whole 'they won us the league' in 2008 thing.

I think Hartley built his reputation on booting Bary Fergushun up in the air in the 3-2 OF at Parkhead, which any one of us would happily have done. I think he was * in a lot of games in that run in and I never rated him. He was past his sell by date when we bought him never mind when we sold him.

Robson? Yeah I would've hung on to him. He was a good, versatile squad player but I think to say we 'miss him' is a bit extreme.

We should be aiming higher.

I think we have better quality now actually. I didn't want to sell Robson at the time but to be honest, with Mowbray as manager, having Robson wouldn't have made a difference. Their time is over and we've all moved on. Also, Hartley's legs were long gone by the end of his time here.

Hartley no, definetly not he done a half decent job when he was with us thats about it.

Robson I'd still have back he brings a bit of fight into the midfield and I think could still offer us something.

I've quite often said in the past week I'd quite gladly have robson and mcdonald back from middlesbrough if TM was looking to punt them.

I loved Hartley and I don't think we ever saw him replicate his form for the Jambos but he was a Bhoy at heart and that endeared him to me but we should've definately kept hold of Robson in my opinion, gave us that bit of bite in midfield, sort of like King Neil I gave us!

 

Yes, we could use an experienced destroyer like those two. In case of a negative result, they could also help in keeping the others' heads up.

 

We dont miss anything but their mentality on the training ground and in the dressing room. Mowbray dimantled a dressing room of characters, I hope Lennon can get player like (mentality wise) himself, Thompson, Mjallby, Hartson & Sutton.

I exclude Larsson because he was noted for sheer excellence at the sport not just a strong character, the others always produced performances (without scoring loads or assisting everything) that rivalled and exceeded who they played.

 

We're only looking back because some of us aren't happy with things at the moment. Seriously though, Juarez/Ki/Ledley/Kayal is better than Robson and Hartley and Donati man. Seriously why even look back? I think we have more ability now- it will just take a little bit of time
