Hope it doesn't happen. It's a non-starter for me and can't see it.

Feel so sorry for the Portsmouth supporters. I never really liked them too much but it's a shame for them to have to pay for some incompetent management. Nobody can be glad of this.

What about all their results? Would each team they took they took points from get those points back?

Really hope it doesn't happen, for the sake of the fans, they are tremendous and would be a credit to any football club.

My best mate's a die-hard, so I've got a wee soft spot for Pompey after attending and watching countless games with him.

It could possibly teach teams a lesson when it comes to over-spending but lets be honest, it's not going to change what any team decides to do. Rules need to be put in place to stop teams spending money that they never look likely to regain, however - that's a different thread.

    Play up Pompey:50:

Well because I am also a Stockport County fan and we came dangerously close to the taxmans gauntlet I couldn't possibly wish it on any club at all includings The Shame!!! So I really hope they get out of it and if not I wish any 'phoenix club' the best of luck!

Apparently their game against Hull goes ahead. This may be their last game ever.

No doubt. How long have they got to get out of this mess?

It's a crying shame. I have no love for Pompey but my abiding memory of them was in a game against Arsenal at home, they were 5-0 down and the Pompey fans were singing their hearts out. They were absolutely tremendous and showed to me how a football club should be supported. Many fans of more successful and bigger clubs would have turned on their team. I include ourselves in that criticism, some guys who sit near me moan and * moan no matter how well we play. As one of the bhoys said earlier, we're lucky to have a club. Let's get behind them and show the passion for our club the Pompey boys have for theirs. You don't miss it till it's gone.
Celtic is more than a football club.

Portsmouth were always my second favorite team, this is truly shocking and I hope that something can be done

I have no affiliation to Pompey whatsoever, but it would be a tremendous shame for their support if this were to happen.

On the other hand though, i think this SHOULD be happening! If a club is spending millions outwith their capacity, they should NOT bel allowed to.

Hopefully a few other BIG EPL teams follow suit.

I understand that people want others to wake up and discover consequences of outrageous spending and poor management. But nobody could wish this on any football club in my view. All about supporters.
