I went over last year. All i can say that the cafes called ''Bulldog'' (or something like that) are overated. Your local coffee shops are better.

For food there are Argentinian Steak Houses everywhere, i would recommend them.

You should go to St James Gate on the rembrandtplein.
They show the game and it's home to a dutch celtic supporters club low land lions so there will be plenty folks.

Somewhere Id love to go to soon. Not into weed or that, though just to feel the cultural history of the place would be something else.

I have heard, however, that Eindhoven is a much cheaper alternative for a drink/smoke/lapdance :84:

I'm full dutch and what he says makes sense. But it's not in most tourist area's more in the bad areas of the city. So if you go to the city centre not much will happen.

love amsterdam always felt safe there.its just like every other city go into the wrong places & youll find trouble.places like the red light & stuff are queit busy so a wouldnt worry about gettin robbed in the city centre just keep to the main streets & stuff & dont go down any dodgy back alleys.also dont buy any drugs of the dealers in the streets, there always up to scams & *.but enjoy youll love the place.
