In the western world most people can freely change their religion without the threat of death.

I wouldn't want to change my religion as my faith is strong, if others want to convert to a different religion or no religion at all then they are free to do so, just as I am free to practice my faith without people telling me I'm an idiot or being condescending to me, it's my choice and no-one else has a right to question my decision.

Im an atheist and I cannot find proof or reason in any religion apart from comforting my own fears of death and misfortune. I don't need to make that up to myself and if some people do just know you replace the fear of the unknown with the fear of *. It's not that fancy I have no fear for the unknown so I do not need religion.

    So ignorant.

You know some people don't believe because of FEAR. They believe because they BELIEVE.

But it comes from fear. You fear death right? That's why you need a story to make up for that fear. Do you fear the situation where as control is in your hands and nobody is there to help you? So no protection from a * figure against the misfortunes of life. Do you fear missing out on the imaginary paradise if you don't do what they tell you?

There is a lot of fear involved in religion. The reason I don't hold any religion is also partly fear. Fear of wasting my time on something that has almost no relevant accountibility or proof. All of our choices in life are greatly based on fear of loosing something or missing out on something.

Jewish because of the unique culture or Buddhism, because i had a friend on my street when i was a kid who was Chinese and was a Buddhist

i wouldn't really want to be a Muslim as their countries are either under siege by the west or by extremism of their own people,

glad to be secular though, quite happy with it
