    I would get a cheeky bid in for him before the window closes as he's been awesome for blackburn and australia in central defence, plus he's in the last year of his contract and doesn't want to sign a new one.

    No chance, Barca were trailing him last year. Our wage bill has taken a pummelling now with Tommy G on 45k a week as well. Neil would prob want 30k himself.

    If we offload Thompson & Lennon(Legend,Maestro, but passed his best), this would allow more wage bill for other quality signings, WGS has got competition in every position, the more the better for Celtic in CL.

    I think the move to Barca for Neill died down a bit because of the Juventus situation. Barca bought Zambrotta and Thuram (Sp?) so they so they didn't need Neill. Its worth a shot. Apparently he's a lifelong Liverpool supporter, but they all say that.
