    Asked if there would be new players before the deadline, he gave an answer basically saying that there aint much time left, and clubs still do business, and ended by saying "Stay tuned"

    Lawell has been fantastic during his time at Celtic, a real breath of fresh air in our stagnant board.
    The club has conducted itself well during Strachan's reign, we've invested in top quality profesionals without going down the "silly money " route of Rangers.
    It's been a long time coming, I still can't help but wonder if the board now realise their mistake in not backing MON after Seville.
    As a long time opponent of the board and especially Brian Quinn and Dermott Desmond, I have nothing but praise for their recent dealings over the last two years.

    It is nice in this day and age to see a club going down the route of cutting the overall debt of the club whilst doing some shrewd deals in the process.
    We won the league at a canter last year but their is no doubt Strachan has stamped his name on the current squad now and the Board have Not let him down ,fair play to them .........Like i said before "where are you doubters now" you were not only calling for Lawell's head but Strachans as well ....:celt_2: how does it go "were Celtic supporters ..faithful .........."

    if your right magic_7 and it is well thompson from hibs id have him over brown or hartley any day .. hes the best of those three by a mile..:50:

    we dont need other midfielders tho i guess plenty artilery now .. but any additions at all is great in my book.

    It looks to me like Lawell is trying to get someone else in, but i cany see it being another midfielder, no way. Its surely got to be a defender, or maybe even another striker. Thompson is a cracking player, but i dont see any point at all in bringing him in, the now anyway.

    sounds like nothing to me. But a defender would be top priority if anything happens.
