    I think it was a good idea at the time for these folks but now that the financial world is taking a battering they're having to justify the whole event to their own people. What really * me off was one news reader saying "Glasgow take note!!" What the * do they think we are third * world :31:

    Watched a lot of this today, I thought the venues and that looked good, The media have started this negativity over nothing really. Its certainly in a good enough condition IMO.

    The commonwealth games, the ashes of the "olympic" world. Basically england verus australia, only the poms cant "borrow and claim" scottish welsh irish and south african players as their own as easily as they do in other sports like cricket. Probably explaining why they dont do well in most sports bar cycling

    Glasgow won't have any of these dodgy construction/site issues, no worries. But as with all CG, Australia blowing everyone away - predict approx 50 gold - thats about par - and gives the whole of the Commonwealth a chance to stick it to England - who can't even decide what their national anthem is.
