Loovens Or Hooiveld ?

Glenn Loovens is far better than Hooiveld in my opinion as Hooiveld is a Mowbray donkey signing. Hooiveld is as slow as a week in jail and is very
rash in the tackle, likely to give away free kicks and penalties every game
he plays in.

Loovens is a Strachan signing, is a Dutch Internationalist, has some good speed and recovery powers which we need alongside Majstorovic, and Loovens is also likey to chip in with some crucial goals too. The last thing we want to do is break up the Majstorovic / Loovens partnership, just when they are getting some harmony and undestanding together. I would punt Hooiveld in January.

You may have your doubts but let it be doubts and do not tell stories you don't know anything about and don't judge about other competitions in Europe when you never saw anything from it.
So, only your first 6 words may be correct. You are the only one to judge.

 

Just the story i wanted to tell. Glad there is somebody else who knows about Jos and about his qualities. It is a pitty he was not able do show it to the Celtic fans yet, but I am sure his time will come when time is given.....

aye, jos hit rock bottom apparently when he was about 22, was injured, fell out with manager, found himself off in some 2nd division team nowhere where he wanted to be

he got his head down, did the work and he turned out a brill defender in both finn and swedish leagues, winning MVP

hes been injured for months and is now just starting to get fit, remember when you mess up your knee or break your leg theres always a period where you cant run as afast or do the same acrobatics you could before the injury, its like learning how to play all over again

really dont know, i would like too see jos get a chance, but loovens shouldnt be dropped yet as he was good vs hibs

anybody but loovens. hes had his chance and never even looked like taking it. im dreading seeing him start in this next old firm game.

 

Maybe I HAVE watched those leagues? Maybe i dont have the best knowledge about this leagues, but I know quite a lot about Jos, mostly because i'm Dutch and Jos is Dutch too. I follow Dutch football players. Quite strange eh? I just think he is not good enough: My opinion.

 

I'd prefer Loovens playing myself.

 

Neither have looked the part, however both have been in and out the team, both need a Majstorovic type figure beside them none are natural leaders, both need better protection from the full backs and midfield which I think they will get now the team is settled and also need some organisation from their keeper which I didnt think Zaluakas did so I would have more confident in both players, both need this and a run of games but are interchangeable however fearful of big Dan getting injured or suspended because don't think Hooiveld and Loovens are a partnership, as for Rogne think he'll be a good understudy for big Dan and wouldn't rush him back especially for Accies at Parkhead

if you asked me start of the season id have sed hooiveld. but now id say loovens is better because he has consistantley looked to be playing better wiv big majostorovic. and hooiveld has looked worse

 

Canny comment on that because TBH never knew much bout him before he got here only judging what I've seen and some clips from youtube and that, however I cant go with what they have done before its what they do in a Celtic strip look at Gravesen, Juninho and Jarosik as examples, however think Hooiveld could be a player for us like I said needs a run in team with a settled partnership also only been at club 9 months been injured or not playing for around 6 of them maybe now he can show the celtic fans what he can do I will be more convinced, not slating the Guy because I dont think he's settled or have seen him play at 100%, and can you honestly say he's been a leader the times you've seen him play(by leader I mean a Bobo Balde type defender who sticks his head in anywhere and throws himself in front of anything that doesn't mean he cant be captain look at Paul McStay)

Hooiveld had to play too early after his injury. He hasn't reached his normal level yet. In the european games he was far from matchfit, but had to play. When he's up to his normal level he's no doubt a better player than Loovens. Strong and a leader at the back and with a great cross- pass. Loovens is a decent defender, but on the ball not nearly as good as Jos.

 

defo rogne first pick, but i think id rather loovens. mind you jos had a beeter mentality for the team for sure
