Seen it on MOTD last night, it was a shocker. He just * emptied Mendes, if you did that off-field you would be arrested. The ref booked Thatcher so I don't think any other action can be taken. Hopefully the FA can make an exception and ban the c**t for 8 games.

 

Total thug, I hope the FA throw the book at him, or a t least throw an elbow at him. It'll be intresting to see what happens, the FA has come in for serious stick over it's treatment of Scholes & Rooney, if their punishment was a three game ban for being sent off in a pre-season friendly, then Thatcher should be made an example of and banned for a minimum of 10 games.
I can't stand players like Thatcher, he's now in my * list along with Spitty Diouf!

stupid thing is the F.A can't do anything about it now as the ref gave thatcher a yellow card,although i seen on sky sports that they are now looking into the way these things are dealt with after this incident

 

shocking watched the video clip a few times.thatcher had no intention of playing the ball,as you see in the clip he was looking at the player as he steamed towards him like a train, then up came the arm. blatant assault could be a court case in this one.

The first time I seen it I didn't see too much besides a bad challenge. I needed a replay to show how bad it was, the elbow was up as well as the fact is was a terrible challenge.
