A thread on Follow Follow which was celebrating these attacks has just been deleted after a poster claimed he knew the culprits personally.

Whether or not he means those responsible are Hun I’ve no idea ... Although, I’m assuming they are, hence why it has been deleted.

Everything you ever need to know about the Huns is right there. They think it's funny that women and children got terrorised for no other reason than they are 'Papes'. :47:

    Strange story this.

I mean, how does the rear window of a coach "blow in" due to something being thrown from a motorway bridge? Certainly be possible to take out the windscreen, or dent/puncture the roof - but even if some heider managed to lob a paving slab onto the top, surely the window would shatter out the way? Don't think we're getting the proper story here...

I was at bellahouston in 1982 to see the pope. We walked home to the Gorbals along paisley road. We were attacked by huns coming out of at least 5 different pubs. How did I know they were huns? They were wearing hun tops and shouting * * as they lobbed bottles and glasses at us. There were families with kids with us that day. These * with their ignorant, bigotted views have not gone away. The popes homily yesterday

"I appeal in particular to you, the lay faithful, in accordance with your baptismal calling and mission, not only to be examples of faith in public, but also to put the case for the promotion of faith’s wisdom and vision in the public forum."

Basicaly saying that being catholic is not a crime, or any other faith / non faith these attacks by whoever is responsible are totaly unaceptable in any culture / socity but looking at the papers today not a mention of it. one scotland many cultures UNLESS YOU ARE CATHOLIC.

BUT IF I TOOK ANYTHING FROM YESTERDAY IT WAS THIS

    ITS GOOD BEING A CATHOLIC

A shocking act to say the least. I hope they all moved on from it and enjoyed the rest of their day.

Well it could hardly be from the motorway itself, so it would have to be somewhere higher than the bus, for the bus to have passed under it. Besides, if the window was panned in by a projectile, wouldn't that have been found inside the bus, and been mentioned in the article?

    Dunno. I'm just suspicious because
    1) It's the Sun
    2) It's only the Sun - no other news outlet seems to have covered this, either yesterday or today :97:

    200 thousand?

the figures I've heard were around 60-70k.

infact it's something that critics of the current pope have been keen to point out, that when John Paul II came to town the crowd was somewhere in the region of 200-300k.

    he's just not as popular.

The joke was about the combined figures between Edinburgh and Glasgow. I probably agree hes not as popular. But theres a big difference between 1982 and now. In 1982 me and my mates and families just decided to go and see the holy father so we did. This time you had to go with your church from the church and that didnt match up to peoples working day. So I along with lots of other people couldnt go. Plus the security this time was much more rigorous. No trees to save I presume.

it could be atheists? when was the last time atheists got together to attack catholics. its always been the other way around, without exception.

me too. but a lot of celtic fans are atheists nowadays. im not a catholic, so i like to think that im a celtic fan because they are nicer people than rangers fans and play better football etc. being born into a religion or football team just isnt a reason for me.

and as a neutral i have to say that the pope deserves the hate. trying harder to cover up child abuse to protect the rep of the church than protecting children from more of it in future, encouraging poverty ridden africans to not use condoms and increase their already large families and escalate the already massive problem of aids. and discouraging the segregation of education and religion, discouraging education on the whole. dehumanising homosexuals and lesbians like they used to with jews before 1962. theres a lot of things this man and the catholic church has done wrong. richard dawkins was right in everything he said the other day. im surprised to see so many people on here that like the pope. its as if you arent even critical at all and like him simply because you were born into a family that does. just like the huns hate us just because they were born into a family that hates us. pure accident of birth. its all so mindless.
