be careful what you wish for as you will soon find out that stokes is a very poor player !!

 

a disgrace? what has he done to be a disgrace? what is it with people picking on samaras?? just wait to you see hooper, stokes and murphy all playing for a few weeks ! you will be begging for sammy to play !! sammy will be on the team sheet before any of them 3 !

 

it freaks me out every time sammy takes the pitch,he is not good enough to play for celtic,i cant understand how anybody can say he is any good,he has been given loads of chances but has failed miserably.

even if murphy, stokes and hooper do turn out to be brutal i still wouldn't want samaras starting. to be honest, i reckon hooper will be a great signinig anyway. your basically saying that all 3 are pish?? hooper got 43 goals in 80 games. 19 last season for a side that finished 20th in the championship. not bad if you ask me. samaras has scored 38 goals in 4 year.

Saying he's scored 38 in 4 years is including his time at man city, you're twisting his stats to make him look like he's been * and contributed nothing here.

His stats are better than 1 in 3 for us.

You're including his time at another club (where he admittedly had an appalling scoring record) to say he's *.

I'm more interested in what he's contributed for celtic, which is better than 1 in 3, what he was like at man city is irrelevant to us here and now.

Same goes for Stokes/Hooper/Murphy, judge them on what they do in the hoops, not their past records at other clubs.

 

hooper and stokes will have more goals than sammy at the end of the season. i'll put money on that. murphy isn't a fair comparison because he's not a scoring striker. actually that is a fair comparison for sammy

 

your basing your stats and opinion on his goal record ! sutton didnt score half as many goals as larsson but he was every bit as important a player to our team at the time as henrik was. look at saturdays game, sammy looked more dangerous in his 20mins on the park than stokes and murphy did all day. its an absolute joke the abuse samaras takes at celtic park and on here. ill say it again he is our best attacking option by far !!

 

one of them might ! both of them wont ! ill put money that sammy will have more assists than the 2 of them put together !

 

samaras has all the abilty but just doesnt produce get him to * but if he gets a hair cut he can stay lol

 

i don't think using the word 'attacking' to describe sammy is very accurate...never seen a striker so determined to pick up the ball on the edge of the opposition box and make his way back to the centre circle with it!

i'd definitely keep samaras but only to bring off the bench cos that's wen he actually looks dangerous.

can't really judge hooper nd stokes without seeing them play for a few games but murphy looks decent...good at the wee flick-ons and holding the ball up, just a shame he can't finish!

not likely and besides i don't strikers who pile up assists. they are there to score goals

 

its a team game ! emile heskey has a terrible scoring record for every team he has played for. england, leicester, liverpool, birmingham, wigan ! yet for every one of them teams he was a guaranteed starter ! its all about partnerships upfront ! get the right guy beside sammy. shame there is nobody at the club in the same league as him to form a good partnership with
