That has nothing to do with me, though. I'm willing to bet it has very little to do with most supporters.

I'm Scottish, from Glasgow, wanting to watch a football match.

    Simple.

I think the GB are doing a brilliant job , Ideally I would like them to drop some of the sectarian stuff but at least they are trying to create an atmosphere , Like the above poster I am Scottish and fed up with everything about the Irish being dragged into Celtic park .

Watch a football match? so you go and watch Celtic paticulary just for a football match and it has nothing to do with you :97: doesn't make sense at all.

If the genocide didnt happen Celtic wouldn't be here, most of us wouldn't be alive, I would be in Ireland as I type. :bbpd:

    Sectarian stuff? Explain

Irish being dragged into Celtic Park :38::97:

Guess you don't like the fact that Celtic was made to fed the poor that came over from
Ireland due to the fact the brit army taxed, raped & murderd in Ireland and had the cheek to call it a "famine", again you dont like the fact that Celtic was made for free humanity? and we sing about freedom? :97:

From that post you gave on this thread I get the suspision you are more of a Labour voter, for britain and scotland cant hold its own weight?

i wish people would stop crying about pro-IRA songs being sung , dont like them? dont sing them ....doesn't mean everyone is going to stop ive been born n raised on pro-IRA songs because my dad , uncles etc so imo i love singing them when we play the huns , and everyone knows pro-IRA songs will never completely stop and neither will the scum with their "SECTARIAN" songs. the songs sung at CP are telling of historical events not of killing and maiming other religions so as far as im concerned we should sing them if we want , what about CP back in the days when it was rebel after rebel song no one complained then did they?

    Delusionlol.

Explain your comments please. Genocide? :56:

I go to watch a football match. I don't go to sing, I don't go for the pies or the windfall. I go because I support the club and I want to see them win every game.

If you cannot accept this opinion and accept that not everyone is a plastic Paddy, then you're a wee sasij.

    Jesus Christ almighty.

For starters, no sectarian stuff is sung - the rebs are not sectarian, anyone who claims they are obviously does not know the meanings of the songs.

Secondly, are you for real ? Without our Irish links, we would merely be another Partick Thistle. They are a massive part of what we are, they make our identity what it is. To be celebrated and not be ashamed of. Disgraceful comment.

P.s. NBAJamShoez look up the events of the "famine" as your opinion is obviously one of ignorance.

In fact watch this, Ifyouknowyourhistory CSC.

I didn't say I don't sing, I said "I don't go to sing". I sing along with songs I'm ok with singing about.

    Don't jump the gun.

People with tenuous links to Ireland., there are many of them.

My heritage is Southern and Northern Irish but it's still a bit tenuous for me. I am Scottish. My parents are, my grandparents are.

I dislike the singing of IRA songs as I don't feel a football match is a good medium for political and war related songs to be sung. I'm also willing to wager the majority of people singing them know next to nothing about it.

You posted "Genocide ? :56:", I am merely suggesting that you (and others on here) should know their history before spouting off.

Well said, although some just can't and want to dilute our Irish heritage, the Hibernianisation of Celtic Football Club.

You have to wonder why they bother supporting a club with such strong Irish links in the first place if they are intolerant towards it.

Couldn't agree with you more, some comments that does be on here now and again i get the impression some would rather have no links with Ireland, and comes back to exactly what you said, why follow the club in the first place. :47:
