my swearing seems to get worse at old firm games , too the point i go home thinking , "* i could have got done for that !"
but it stays in the stadium tho and if people want to take there kids to a part of the stadium where its not classed as the family section , well im sorry emotions run high and i get quite worked up during the match and i aint gonna not show my passion just because their is kids there , thats just me :celt_2:

Always has been part of football. The funny thing is, the kids may hear as much swearing at their school as they do at a game.

My and my pal got into trouble for swearing about 3 or 4 seasons ago, even though we werent shouting or anything. We never knew we had been swearing until a Steward said when we were going down at half-time someone complained and we shouldnt be sweaing. Then the week later he said it again so we ended up arguing with him until a polis came over and asked the steward what was wrong and told him to leave us and he never bothered us again.

Nothing wrong with it. If you are angered by people swearing at football then you are in the wrong place.

If you are so delicate that you can't stomach a bit of swearing then you shouldn't bother going to a football match because it's not the place for you. People get very caught up in the match and the atmosphere and, in that context, there is nothing wrong with a bit of bad language.

It's the parents that make me laugh, they take their 8,9,10 year old children to the football then look down their nose at you if you swear near their children. Do they think children don't already know swear words and use them in the playground by that age? I know we did 20 odd years ago and kids language has become a lot worse since then.

Swearing is just part and parcel of going to the football, if we ever reach a point that you can't even swear at a match then I'm just * jacking it in because the world will have gone mad.

    Excellent post agree 100%

Take swearing away from football you will lose alot of what the game is all about.

This woman was very snotty and acted like her kids have never heard a swear word! Probably knows more than her!

It depends if you are next to a 10 year old or next to a 4 year old, but see to be honest to take a 4 year old to a game then family section it is, I don't think people shall say anything about swearing at games because its always happened. Its a tradition nearly, It would be far too late if the SFA was to somehow ban it.
