2 away games ,one up front, midfeild not creating chances, nakamura failing to deliver, i for one aint happy, if we are being told to change our style for ict and a pish hearts team in order to win then i am giving up, i am not prepared to sit and watch my team i have followed through thick and thin be embarrasing to myself and the celtic support, we do not deserve this, listening to quinn and others is like listening to comical ali refuting us tanks where in baghdad, kenny miller is getting it hard when he is the only one forward who looks like celtic class why can none of his team mates try putting him through, answer cos none are capable of reading the game or situations well enough to trouble a 3rd div side, we go for victory anywhere in scotland bar none ,its rule the roost or * all,in a nutshell we have as much bite as alf garnet and as much threat as dale winton with a tampax, i know we triumph in adversity but we should fear any team in any pot in CL, can someone give me a reason to be cheerful cos i am running right out of positives as at half time i seen this result coming,:31: :31: :31: hail fickin hail ,ps, (quinn should be downsized just above the shoulders)

I agree. I've watched Celtic through thick and threadbare and I've seen worse than this, much worse. Team today was *, too many lazy bassas in the team. Jarosik's got talent but needs a rocket up his *, Naka just doesn't do it in away games and Lennon is getting very pedestrian. There is no drive from the midfield and in games like this I would flood the midfield and run over teams like this.3-5-2 is the system for a game like today's.

Irvy7 calling Cavan1 "a tube" for having a good point validates my point regarding needless dissing and abuse on this forum, so in keeping, you Irvy7 are a * moron.

    Hi fholks

    All,

Kenny Miller is the dog's bollox. His running and link-up play is excellent. I like his attitude and his workrate.

    But he's got no goals.

I have no feckin' idea why not. Perhaps he should be ordered not to move outside the penalty area in the next game.... let's see if he is a natural poacher because a striker he doesn't seem to be. To be honest, I'd prefer him and Maloney further back feeding a lone poacher such as Magic. Zurawski isn't the greatest footballer in the world but he does have a dawk at a goal (or a prod, but we'll not like that term I guess so the Irish "dawk" it will have to be) at every opportunity.

It sounds mad, but Maloney and Miller or even McGeady making runs into the penalty box looking for Majic just gives me wood. Every time.

    But no goals. <...wilt>

Midfield? I voted the centre circle for MOTM today by the way. Honest.

Nah - I voted McGeady but I liked Pearson's efforts. I'm glad we're keeping him. He was his typical self today and that made others look ordinary.

Neil Lennon. <sigh> I'm a big fan of his but I wanted to press the [pause] button on the remote, climb into the telly and onto the pitch. And in the silence of the world frozen in time I'd have a wee word with him. I'd say "Neil, buddy. Once. Just once.... no really, I beg you... can you actually look for a man up the field to pass the ball to. No. Please"

And then I'm return to my seat and press the [PLAY] button so that proceedings could continue. After we'd have won 2-1* I'd have still come on here and said the same thing by the way.

Naka. Or, MacNamura as I call him. <deep breath> Sorry buddy, I'm removing the Emperor's Clothes and all I'm seeing is Red Cross two-for-one deals. Ok, that's harsh. But look. Any * can look good given time and space on the ball. But as part of a Celtic team, I want a bone-crushing tackler in midfield who happens to be able to pass it a bit also. MacNamura is a bit... Mush-Mouse really. Fine, he's got talent, but he doesn't fit the all-rounder we need in midfield. We're having cornettos with our spuds and cabbage guys, I think we need a bit of a sprinkling of a firey Petrov instead.

Out of respect for cabbages I refuse to pass comment on our defenders. Ok. My arm is up my back... I shall mention one. Wallace. There, I did it.

Artur Boruc. ....<pause>.... Ok. Reacts as fast as as huns knickers at the sight of a free kebab. Granted. But please, stop hoofing the * ball up the park to... oh wait, he's gone! There's nobody there buddy. Give it to the nearest midfielder (except our beloved Neil, you'll only get it straight back) and let them do what they get paid to do. That's all. The rest will take care of itself.

    ********************************************************
For me it's like this - the ball is moved far to slowly from back to front and far too cautiously. I'm not sure why there's this insistence on Wilson getting forward to cross in a ball. Why? Stay back and defend FIRST. Perfect that skill. By the time we do pinball it around, all the opposition are back defending. Who are we going to give it to? Tell me? A crossed (or lobbed-in) ball and hope someone gets on the end of it? Who's *-hot in the air for us?

Today and last week, we got great goals from fast attacking play where we made space for ourselves. For me, that's the answer to this team that presently seems to be running to stand still; afraid to take a man on (McGeady, Miller and Petrov aisde) and sloppy in defence. Ya don't have to change the squad too much. Sort those two things out and we'll be fine.

P.S. I have made no mention of Sno and Jarosik because I'm still not sure as to how these are going to turn out for us. That in itself is worrying I guess. Ah well. I could be a QPR supporter I guess <shudder> :celt_2:

    * What? You think I'd not have moved Pearson's 92nd min cannon a few feet to the right before I returned? Tut tut.

Our team lacks character. All last season i pointed out Naka and Magic had hearts the size of peas but as we were winning nobody accepted it. I can however admit when i'm wrong cos i also thought Wilson and McGeady were not good enough but both have really impressed. How can we expect young/inexperienced players to develop a "Celtic" mentality of playing every game to win it when Strachan accepts defeat and drawn games so easily? McManus and Caldwell were comfortable against two small frontmen but when Bayne was brought on struggled - Bobo must come back, even if only for his presence. Jarosik must feel cheated, 4 games and 3 positions, not fair on him really. I have never accepted Strachan, i just don't feel as confident in him, i also find him an arrogant little man. The fortunate thing is i think we can afford to draw away games and still contest the title as Rangers and Hearts will do likewise.

Well done mate, slating someone because they slate someone else, that's definantely the answer, you're about as bad as him.
However, on the topic, I think you're going a bit too far Cavan. We've all seen Celtic really low, and we've seen them really high as well, and we done it together. We stick through our team thick and thin, and that's what got us the title of Worlds Greatest Supporters.
