The board have made a profit this transfer window, they have reinvested none of the McGeady money.

Lennon deserves all the praise he gets for trying to build a squad out of the pittance he was given.

Interesting use of twisted version of our C.E. `s name and description typical of use by supporters of our biggest rivals. In the present operating climate he has done a superb job. If the senior footballing staff had done anywhere near as well, i.e. European football and income, his job would be much easier.As it is he has a much narrower playing field than he possible expected but still performs well. i am delighted our club is in such good hands in administration terms. It remains to be seen if we are in good hands as an entertaining, successful footballing entity.

 

So we don't have that BIG name signing that some have been craving ! But for a club like Celtic with the money we have, i think Lenny and the board have taken the wiser option. Yes , we could have spent millions on a Marquee signing for one position, but then brought in inferior players for the other areas that need strengthening. But Lenny has brought in quality and improved all our problem areas. This is obviously based on what i have seen so far. My only doubts are Mulgrew and Murphy, but we shall see ! No point bringing in a 9 million pound striker if your defence is crap or vice versa.

 

11 new signings and still the defense looks shambolic plus a * keeper now, and no goalscorer. No captain.

I agree with you on the defence but the other points are just nonsense. Forster is highly rated and if you don't think Hooper and Stokes are goalscorers then you must be off your head.

 

Hooper and Stokes upfront together will make a great attacking partnership , something that should worry Davie Weir and Allan MacGregor
