I'd like nothing more than to see him do well here but let's not get too carried away, he's done very well with what he's been given so far but it's only half way through the season and we're nowhere near seeing what silverware we will come away with come May.

For me, I would like to see him stay on, barring an absolute implosion we should win the league and possibly a domestic cup at the end of the season but he's building a promising and young side which could see us dominate for years if it falls into place.

The final stretch for the league will be the toughest test yet for Lenny and hopefully he can come away with the goods.

Let's just chill the beans here eh.

I think it's ridiculous when people say Neil Lennon should be sacked after 1 or 2 bad results/performances. I think it's equally mental to say he should be given a new contract off the back of a few games of good form.

Let's just sit back, support the team and see how the season plays out. If the team deliver the goods then Neil Lennon will get his contract in the fullness of time.

    Why???

It will drive him to the end of the season to win title then obviously things can be discussed.

The priority right now is winning games, these things will take care of themselves at a later date.

So by offering him a new contract and more money that might make this all go away ,he is here to dominate them ,not run away from them.[/QUOTE]

Understand where your coming from kennydal ,but its not that it will make all the hassle go away, but a contract will let him know we believe in him.

to have any manager on a 3 year contract would be madness imo celtic could lose their next 10 games and how much would it cost to part company then lennon strikes me as a loyal person and lets face if he ever wanted to take charge of another club he would weather he was on a 1 or a 10 year contract

If Lenny had wanted to leave Glasgow for personal reasons - i.e. attacks by mindless hun thugs, death threats, etc, he would have done it by now!

Also MON had the same 12 month rolling contract as Lenny and others, so it's not unusual, especially at CP.

I'm delighted to have Lenny at the helm and believe that, in the fullness of time, we could have ourselves a manager as good as the player - not something said that often.

    In Lenny we trust.

    Hail Hail

No, managers should be on a rolling contract, then we don't need to fork out stupid funds on * like Celtic men TM, PG and the rest,

The actions of the board, in terms of aggressively pursuing the targets he has identified, will show Lenny we believe in him.

Just as the actions of the fans, in terms of support, will also show Lenny we believe in him.

Let us not forget that, these days especially, contracts are not worth the paper they're printed on, so a permanent contract Vs a 'temporary' doesn't make the blindest bit of difference to the situation and neither it will to someone like Neil Lennon - a man who, through such diversity, has shown more self belief and desire, as well as composure, humility, etc than most could ever aspire to...

With all that in mind, I'm sure Neil will sleep soundly and not bat an eyelid over his 'contract situation'

Here is my position with regards to Neil Lennon, he is our manager, and I am behind him 100%, he took the reigns when people like Lambert, Coyle, and Moyes all hid behind there cloaks for whatever reason. Do you remember punters having a go at Tommy Burns, saying he was too inexperienced and too young to take on the Celtic managers job, how did the bold Tommy react to that ? By saying you might only get one chance to manage Celtic F.C. Lenny, you might slip up here n there in your inaugural season as our manager, but I am totally behind you, these are my thoughts, and I ask you as Celtic supporters to get behind the man, Lenny you had the balls, when others didn't, for that reason alone, I salute you mate.:50:

He's putting together a really strong side and his signings like Izzy,Hooper and Kayal have been excellent. Its great to see a real Celtic man in charge as well.

I desperately want him to succeed. From the minute he took over. He is a man who has the club at heart and wont accept second best. Saying that, it is still early days. His drive and anger are what is pushing the club forward. The fact he is unfairly despised by the rest of the country is neither here nor there and will make it all the more sweeter when the title comes home.

So far he is doing a great job and is bringing the thunder back.

He is also an intelligent and articulate man, this comes across in his interviews and the Huns hate that.

I sure hope he succeeds also.

He's a Celtic man through and through.

He would be staying in the West of Scotland irrespective if he was the manager of Celtic or not apparently.

By all accounts he loves it here and wants too succeed at this more than anything.

I had my reservations about him and his lack of experience (and it has showed this season) but all things considered he's done well.

His failures in Europe were hard too watch but if we recapture the SPL - all will be forgotten.

I think we will - Rangers are in meltdown.

    Selling Kenny Miller proves this.
