We got three points and after the Mowbray reign let's be thankful for that, yes the performance was poor, but once again we have to consider all the team changes.

So we're out of Europe, so now we only have one team to worry about selecting Neil, so let's get our best eleven out there until we're forced to change due to injuries or suspensions, that's the way to gel our team as quick as possible.

i thought over all it was easy for us today. very one sided motherwell never got into the game. thought brown and ledley were excellant, malloney was good defence never had any problems after the first 5 minutes left back looked good. forrest was ok good that he got another game under his belt . murphy looked a bit of the passe but thats understandable as he hasnt played much he is a target man who held the ball up and flicked it on. thought him and maloney linked up ok when samaras went off . samaras was a bit hit and miss as always really frustrates the * out of me. its pretty obvious where we need strengthen. we need two strikers and a centre half who is quick. we will struggle against teams who have passe up front eg the scum with kenny miller. we made a good few chances today hooper or stokes would have scored a good few. murphy, samaras, maloney arent box players and thats what we missed today. all in all im happy its a good win after the mid week we had
ps ultrect were getting beaten 4 - nil last i heard just shows how bad we were on thursday.

until our new bhoys settle in which could take ten games there may be games like today...the important thing is to win whilst we get to the level of performance lenny and we want.
could anyone tell what sammi was muttering as he left the park for the derry pele......he had the shame to look * off that he was being subbed......his was one of the most abject, pitiful performances ever from a celt. how lenny is giving this guy a shirt is beyond me.....he offered nothing today.

mwell were poor, was a really big call to leave juarez and kayal out, we won not really convincingly but a wins a win, 3 clean sheets and 6 goals best start to a season as far as i can remember recently..............

Some people are never happy, after Thursday's debacle any win was what we wanted. We are top of the pile, and I for one am delighted about that. Fir Park has never been an easy place for us, so to come away with all 3 points is great. Looking forward to the next game.

    My take from today.

4-4-2 was the correct formation against a Craig Brown team. They sat back and defended.

Brown played well. Yes he gave away a few free kicks, but him and Ledley was what we needed in the middle of the park in an away game v Motherwell. Juarez and Kayal are okay against a fluent team, or at home, but Brown and Ledley are harder, more solid players.

Samaras is rank. Murphy aint much better. We need a striker or we WONT win the league.

Great support from the bhoys today. Wee motherwell neds in the diddy stand were hating it.

Also, did anyone notice Lennon telling ledley to applaud us at the end? Ledley appeared to tell Lennon to GTF when lennon grabbed his arm. Strange.

brown was mince today his passing is so bad. he either hits them 2 hard and breaks up attacks as the person he passes to has to take a touch to take the sting out it or he hits it beyond them.

i listened to lenny today and he said he thought brown was great today and maloney done ok and needs to try harder i was like huh?????

    Here the whole time
i was actually pleased today, considering we were coming off a european disaster, which has usually ended up in a poor result in recent seasons especially at places like fir park getting all 3 points was as much as we could have expected.performance wise,it wasn't great but it was a sleeves up, stuck in, with everyone giving 100% and in the circumstances thats all we could ask.the criticism of the style in which it was achieved is a bit ott imo,we created plenty of chances and bearing in mind young hooper is still to come back that fact alone bodes well, and i defy anyone to identify a team anywhere in the world that can role out sexy performances game after game.even the barcas and brazils of this world don't do that so why are we expected to.now i'm not saying everything is peachy but its not as bad as some are making out

We do need a poacher up front. From past evidence Samaras isn't that and Murphy doesn't look likely to be either.

Murphy and Hooper little and large, he could easily knock balls onto hooper, he was winning every long ball today, plus ive saw him for sunderland scoring some crackers.
