Just saw that then,, also that little rat Petrov saying AGAIN that he wants to leave ASAP.

 

As posted in the news thread again:

Apparently, the problem is financial - part of it, because Petrov hasn't moved to Aston Villa already, as planned.

A statement from Celtic and Gravesen is supposed to arrive Wednesday, but as it is for now, it seems that the deal is off.

This comes from danish medias...

 

Yea he is desperate to leave before the window closes.

 

If we've not got either Petrov or Gravesen on Friday then Celtic better answer the fans with something..

He may just be away back to think about it..Its not as if hes talking to anyone else..

Graveson failed his medical with a dodgy knee so Celtic offered him a reduced deal in wages and years, he has gone to Denmark to think it over, dosn`t look promising though.

 

Gravesen doesnt want to stay at Mardrid on the bench for at least 6 months. Celtic are probably offering a nice wage and CL football and a great team to play for. He'd be some mug to stay in Madrid and rot on the bench.

well if that is the case , celtic are spot on , in this ...the money gravesen is/bieng offered theres still plenty time aswell to get yet another big time player , id still be happy with gravesen tho if he does sign as he is quality ..but who knows ,

He is ment to be off to Denmark to think the offer over I think? TG only got untill Tomorrow, does CL paper-work not need to get to UEFA by tomorrow for any player to play in this season's CL?????

well if hes got a dodgyknee from medical and celtic have offered reduced terms then fair play to celtic , coz its a * of a lot of money to gamble on.

Celtic are still hopeful of landing Thomas Gravesen before the transfer window closes on Thursday night.

The Real Madrid midfielder flew into Glasgow yesterday to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms.

But the club insist negotiations with the player and his agent John Sivebaek will continue over the phone although Newcastle could try to gazump Celtic’s deal.

A Celtic spokesman said: “Talks are ongoing but there will be no press conference today.”

The former Everton star signed autographs for fans and promised a decision soon.

Gravesen was allowed to leave Denmark’s training camp to fly to Glasgow for talks but has returned to prepare for Friday’s friendly against Portugal and next week’s Euro 2008 qualifier in Iceland.


The arrival of Gravesen at Parkhead would pave the way for Stilian Petrov’s switch to Aston Villa.

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp claimed the Bulgarian was set to join up with former boss Martin O’Neill.

But Petrov’s agent Tony McGill told PA Sport: “Stilian has not signed for anybody.

“I am working on other projects now. I have spent too much time on this now.< “If it happens somebody is going to have to do an awful lot of work and it’s not going to be me.”
