"never coming " is a bit strong mate until his future is decided anything is possible my point being is why our board have not made enquirys to find out if it is possible and if he would do it , no comments have came out of robbies mouth suggesting he would or would not consider moving back, lets be hopefull here , our boards number 1 comeback for when we do something like last night is to keep the stadium full and keane or given could do that , until the fat lady signs , roll on tuesday :icon_mrgreen:

Let's just say 45 years of supporting Celtic tells me he's no intentions of appearing any time soon. I'd gladly admit to being wrong on this one but don't think I am somehow.

don't think given is coming or we would not have signed Forster so I think we can safely say given ain't coming we may sign Westwood in jan though

Well now Celtic are out of Europe this will certainly impact on the likelihood of Keane returning at least from the perspective of financial outlay.

If he does return now though, with only Scottish tournaments to play for, I think alot of credit will need to be given to Keane for his commitment to Celtic, likewise as plaudits were afforded to Bellamy going to Cardiff. Similar praise should also be given to the Celtic board for backing Lennon's ambitions.

We could've barely been able to afford his wages with the money from Europe, DD would have had to bankroll the rest. No chance we can afford it at all now.

lol just saw an interview wi the newcasle manager on ssn and there is speculation over keane moving there:rolleyes: so if there is speculation over him moving i can see us having a slight chance and i mean a slight chance of signing him.

Lenny still chasing Keane according to the Guardian:
Celtic still hope to coax Robbie Keane to Glasgow from Tottenham, although Lennon has admitted the Republic of Ireland striker has shown no inclination that he would relish such a move.
"He hasn't offered any sort of signs that he'd like to come back," said Lennon of Keane. "But he is always welcome here. We will just keep working away at things until the transfer window shuts."

Yeah Lennon, just keep working away at signing keane, then when the transfer window shuts and we didn't get him and without a goalscorer. We can say it was just hard luck. Same old Celtic.
