I hope your right with the option to buy, where did you see that?

I hate loans, but if there's a set fee agreed at the end of the deal - then thats a good option.

If there is no set fee for us to buy then I really do not see the point in the loan. Also he looks like a good keeper and could do well for us. But do you think that he will give Zaluska the kick up the * he needs? I dont. I dont even think that Zaluska would be bothered about this. I dont think its about people not liking loan deals. I for 1 am all for loan deals. When we loan people like Keane, Kamara and so on, they come in and make impacts due to their experience. This young lad has very little experience in the first team and what he does have is in League 1 with Norwich. I just dont see the point in Celtic signing this young GK on loan unless there is an option to buy any time before the end of the loan. Kind of just like we did with Artur Boruc. Could you imagine if there was no option to buy in his deal. Im sure we signed him like a month into his loan deal

 

loans can be a good thing but just the occassional one. Say u do a few and build a solid unit and win the league then you lose they players at end of season its sorta starting from square one again.

 

I have a feeling this could be the last of the signings! Need another striker but really who are we going to go for. Plus think it would only happen if another would go out the door and i'm not sure who that would be!

The keeper could be a risk, but again is Given a realistic option? Its tuff for us as we have had a lot of knock backs from top players (well Bellamy is really the only one). I doubt they wouldn't go for this boy if he wasn't capable of being our No.1. If he's no good, he goes back to the toon. A loan for this boy is the best option. I wish him all the luck in the World!

 

i think if we get him in then it may be our last deal of this window, but i thought lennon was gona get all of this 9.5m of the mcgeady money?

or do you think the board has said one more deal then thats it, we need to keep more than half of that and then you can have a couple of mil in the jan window if you need it?

like yourself i would like to see an other st cause hooper is out for 6 weeks thats not inc getting match fit so your looking around 8-9 weeks to be back to full fitness and 100% gain thats a long time and i would hope to get in a ST who can get us 20-30 goals a season, but hey thats only wishful thinking

 

I think there is a signing being lined up for deadline day. Possibly someone who is not available just yet but will become when they realise they are not in the 25man team in the EPL

 

Imo we need a world class keeper to do well in a European Competition as they will save you from conceding a few goals! Think of how poorly Strachan's team would have done in Europe without Artur! And those saying that they're not fussed about Europe this year then what about next one? This is the only time where we can get a proven top class keeper for a small fee/ loan and we should grab it with both hands!

 

I have a gut feeling Frazer Forster if he has signed will be a very good signing. It is very hard to find good goalkeepers these days. just look at the problems England and Arsenal have had trying to find solid reliable goalkeepers. Forster comes highly recommended by two Ex Celtic players,
and did extremely well with Norwich where he was voted POTY, that is good enough for me. I think Forster will be our No.1 goalkeeper eventually, because I don't think Zaluska has Lennon's full trust after those shaky pre season performances.
