I would only get rid of 1 or 2 until January then at least Lenny will know his best team instead of punting everyone at once.. we all know how that ended before.

Wilson (Not good enough)
Hinkel (Like him, but obviously not wanted and on high wages)
O'Dea (Not good enough)
Loovens (Not good enough)
Thompson (Will never make it at Celtic IMO)
McGinn (Never done much wrong, we just have better options)
Crosas (Same as McGinn)
Rasmussen (Too many strikers, not good enough for starting 11)
Hutchison (Not good enough)

Loovens - he must leave. For his own sake. Majstorović will eat him if he continues to play like a poof.

Brown - Anything above 2m is excellent price for him. Hopefully someone's daft enough to offer money for him.

Wilson - far too injury prone and isn't even good back-up.

O'Dea - isn't and never will be good enough. Maybe Ipswich have potential buy-out fee in this loan deal, it would suit both Celtic and him.

Hinkel - in my opinion, he's our best RB. *, I'd even put him on LB position, he'd do much better job than Mulgrew. But circumstances regarding his contract lead us to believe dropping him from EL squad is just final nail on the coffin and that he's definitely off. Shame, quality player.

Reserve crew - McGowan, Hutchison, Conroy, Grant and Sheridan. In order to move on in their careers they should be sold. We have more talented players who we can count on, who are younger and will surely get more chance to improve. Current reserve lot can't, therefore are surplus in the team.

 

There is quite a lot of fringe players that could be trimmed away without much/any pain being felt at all. Our squad now has over 30 players in it which is a bit of a nonsense when you are operating in the financially restricted world that is Scottish Football.

These are the players that I think could be emptied without damaging, in any significant way, our chances of being successful this season...............

Andreas Hinkel(Not that I want rid of him but Neil Lennon obviously doesn't rate him that highly)
Glenn Loovens
Josh Thompson
Ryan Conroy
Ben Hutchinson
Paul McGowan(He's out on loan but I'd empty him permanently)

All these players could be sold immediately and we'd stand just as much chance of winning the league as we do right now.

I would also like to see the back of Georgios Samaras but I suppose we'll have to wait till we can get another striker in before we'll see the back of him.

 

think if we go through in the europa league there wont be too many players leaving, i think lenny wants a good run in this aswell as the league and you can only do that with a big squad, if we go out, then there will be a cull....i think

I think big russmussen is a excellant penalty box poacher!! I think he would be a great player for us given a chance!!

 

Get rid of Grant? Harsh mate, really harsh. He's had a terrible injury, but he was without doubt our best prospect since McGeady and looked a helluva player in the reserves.

 

Get rid of; Wilson, Samaras, O'Dea, Hutchinson, Conroy and that big pansy Loovens.

 

wilson is good cover, can play lb and rb

besides he injured constantly and he wont pass a physical anywhere

 

Your right he is too injury prone to sell, but if he wasn't so injury prone I wouldn't want to sell him, we have ourselves a catch-22 situation.

 

rather than sending hutchison out to lincoln, i was hoping we would get rid of him.the last time he had an outing he looked fat. Crosas should go, and maybe get a better midfielder in place of him. Big josh thompson has alot to learn so im glad weve loaned him out. Cant get rid of hinkel because of a lack of rightbacks uninjured.If Cha gets injured we would be in trouble.
