he spends more time on his knees or laying around the pitch than the whole team combined

the * gomeless look on his face when somet goes against him....makes me wanna kick his teeth in.

yeah he's shown flashes of a good player.............but i don't want him at celtic, he blows hot and cold too * much.

we're 1-0 down.....hooper goes off injured....who's waiting in the wings to come save the day......shamaras.....oooooooh i'm sure the opposition would *.

let him go, bring someone in that can perform consistantly with the money we got from mcgeady.

    2)Gets a desision against him..offside, foul, HANDBALL!!

He is more of a "forward", a "quarterback" than a goal poacher. the question I ask, can we afford to have Fortune and Samaras on the pitch at the same time since both are as dangerous as a 1 year old baby in front of the goal?

Has been better recently but still too inconsistent, and like others i hate his "i can't believe it look " when he * up and loses the ball ! I would have subbed him straight away yesterday , when he should have passed to Maloney, sheer * greed ! No space for that in a team !

The 3 games Fortune has played on the right of a 4-2-3-1 he has been exceptional, especially against Braga and Calley.

sammy completely does my head in. in the the heat of the moment 2 seasons ago, i described him as the worst celtic striker i had ever seen because he was in a dreadful run of form and when hes off it he is shocking. however the guy actually does have a * of a lot abilty - the problem i have with him is he cant consistantly show it.
wish to * he would prove me wrong!

I think when he does wrong it's grossly exaggerated and when he does well it's a wee bit understated. Almost as if people want him to score a goal every time he touches the ball and anything less is shocking. He made some great through balls against INverness (the Maloney crossbar for example) and held the ball up superbly. But nah everybody was hooked on how greedy he is....

Let me ask this question and I'm only looking for peoples opinions.

Do you think Rangers see his name on the team sheet and think 'oh *,' or 'yas!'

My personal opinion is that the likes of Bougherra, Weir and even defenders from the smaller teams are just too strong for Samaras. He is bullied by them and once he loses the physical battle his other qualities aren't that great so he falls out of the game.

He's a real enigma, sometimes he's unplayable and sometimes he's a big lassie!!

He doesn't score enough goals and that's why he's there at the end of the day!

If we sign Bellamy or a player of similar calibre with Hooper fit, he'll be benched along with Fortune.:shamrock:

Anyone who reckons he is lazy or doesnt track back or has a poor attitude really must get themselves a blind dug. I think his main flaw is he is not a poacher but he is a good 2nd striker who should be paired with a poacher. So if Fortune but I prefer Sammy. Mogga was crazy to spend all that money on a duplicate player.

I love Samaras because he always tries his heart out for Celtic
and obviously loves the club dearly. When he kisses the badge it is apparent that he actually means it, so I want him to stay and relish in the thunder that Lenny is creating.Sammy is best running the channels imo, and pulling defenders all out of position to try and contain him, and that in turn creates opportunities for our goal poacher striker and attacking midfielders, so thus Sammy is actually indispensable to the team if you enjoy attacking swift football, because he possesses an exceptional burst of acceleration to his play which leaves defenders trailing in his wake. I don't mind all the histrionics to his game because that is his nature and we should learn to enjoy and accept his nature as Sammy just being him.

He's not clinical enough, we all know that. But people saying he's useless clearly just don't want to see the evidence in front of their eyes and see that he is a fairly good player.

Good post. We don't need Fortune when we already have Samaras. A goal poacher next to Samaras would do the trick.
