Don't understand why we would buy this guy if Man City have no intention on selling him. We would basically be developing him for them, why not go out and buy a good winger that is the finished product or develop our own talent?

 

If he scores a hat trick against the huns who cares if we develop him for another club?

 

I think it's a serious possibility he will join on a permanent basis at some stage if he comes on loan this season. Hope he comes! Class player.

Weiss would play samaras position quite possibly. (That wide wing forward role).

 

To be honest other areas of the team need addressed before this one. Also I'd rather we developed our own young tallent i.e forrest etc.

However I've never seen the guy play so I can't have much of a say on this matter, but if he is as good as they say, and if theres any chance of us signing him after the loan then there can't be any harm in taking him on board.

 

Like most Tims, I'd love us to be producing our own talent. But lets get real, other than McGeady, as we've just sold him for £10.5mil, who have we bought through since Paul McStay? Maloney may still turn out to be special, but the jurys still out. Forrest has potential, Weiss is an international. Get Weiss in, and bring Forrest through at his own pace. If the lad is ready he'll get in the team no matter who's here. Having him there in the background will keep Weiss, Maloney & McCourt on their toes

 

mcgeady only developed because mon gave him the first team football he needed and forrest needs that now and quite rightly deserves it

 

lennon has huge faith in forrest but he will not want to depend on him and has already spoken about not placing too high expectations on him. he will get first team action this season though and hopefully he makes the grade but i would be hapy to add Weiss to the mix.

it could be my memory playing tricks on me mate but despite MON giving him the break, Mcgeady was not a regular starter under MON early in his career.

I thought that this deal would be concluded after we speak to Given. From what I hear the talks with Given if agreed will conclude a double loan deal

Not only this, a few German papers cliam negotiations have been underway for a few days.

 

There has been quotes from both Weiss and Lubo who is helping Celtic with this deal saying that he would prefer to come up here and negotiations are happening between Celtic and Man City.
