real good second half, nice to see everyone play well

shame bout the scoreline, flatters ICT

 

A win and a clean sheet is all that matters.

First 25 mins we were awful, after that we started coming into again, second half we dominated them.

Positives: Clean sheet, link up between Samaras and Maloney, McCourts goal, Fortuné looked good, Forrest looked good and was unlucky not to score.

Negatives: Left back, Mulgrew just isn't good enough he improved as the game progressed but still way short of what is required. Zaluska, wasn't really tested but didn't look comfortable at all. Defence still looks shaky despite the clean sheet needs improvement when up against better teams. Still can't see what Brown actually brings to the team.

A winning start to the season for us to build on

 

Could have and should have scored a few more. Once Hooper is back we'll be bangin them in.

If we can keep up the kind of form we showed today in the second half, there's not an SPL team that will touch us this year. Huns included.

 

game of two halves, poor in the game 1st brilliant in second , 1 nil flatters caley shouldve 4 or 5.
Maloney , fortune , cha , and even loovens and hooiveld were very good.
Brown and ledley also improved in the 2nd half.
Good result considering that place is a notoriously difficult ground for us.

 

i did say to my pal the other day loovens is always good against caley.

 

Maloney was immense, best performance from his since he's came back.

However the most pleasing thing for me was there wasn't a bad player in a celtic jersey, and Loovens and Hooiveld actually looked assured and solid. :icon_mrgreen:

 

Happy we kept a clean sheet, was really pleased with Hooiveld and especially Cha Du Ri today. Think it may have been a more comfortable win if Hooper had been fit.

We dominated the second half after ICT sat back and let us attack. As soon as Caley attacked we looked like we were going to concede, that is the major concern. And seriously, Sammy had a good match? The guy was playing as a lone striker yet he was never in the box. If he was in a wide attacking position then he would have been man of the match but he didn't do his job of a lone striker.

Unless we pull our act together quickly we are going to suffer badly. Disappointed with that performance.

 

Top top marks to Lenny, clearly inspired the team to get into the game at half time and it worked. Thought we played very well, considering are normal form against Inverness. Cha looks good, always said Maloney is a good player, anyone who says he's an imposter needs a brain scan. Fortune was immense, countless good balls into the box. Samaras is a greedy *, but did ok. Defence didn't really look to bad in all honesty, then again, Inverness bearly had it in our half in the 2nd half. Bearing in mind we have a new CB coming, and Hooper and Juarez to come in, i think we did very well.
