I think he has 3 targets

    1. To make sure the team i still very much in touch with Rangers come Halloween, about the time I think the team will gel.

    2. To still be in touch come the window.

    3. Win the title come May

If he fails to do any of those things I think he will be out on his * like Mogga. BTW, Europe does not matter a jot.

I'll support Lenny and give him time, but i still think he'll last the season at most and be gone- the board needed to make a major statement after the mess that was Mowbray and at the time they had no option but Lennon it would seem. I don't think this league is going to be the canter that many expect, all depends on how quickly the group we have start playing together; not quite happened yet i don't think

it's not hard to find better qaulity then Boyd really BUT the guy is nothing but goals and despite what people say about his work ethic he can't stop scoring and the guy from Vienna may well be of better qaulity but doubt he will make up for the goals Boyd has scored every season.

also they may well be linked to alot of players but so are we and TBH with their current sqaud size at the moment they would have to sign every single player they have been linked with upto now and before eagles knocked them back to get a safe squad together, altough i'll give them some credit that if they sign Mphela our defense right now would be in trouble unless we sign some good CB's soon

Ge can still make them stringer though and less reliant on one player. He and miller will IMO score alot if goals. They also have Naismith who is a proven spl scorer who will now start each week.

Some fans are calling for him to step aside and let MON in before the season kicks off, some fans will be on his back at the very first lot of dropped points, some fans will be more patient and give him a chance.

I don't think it will be a wlak over, we've an entire knew team to try and gel together that takes time, coupled with Lenny's inexpeience, so it will be a very bumpy ride this season, but one I think we will come out on top for.

Yes it does, in terms of revenue for strengthening the squad.

He wont get the time he needs before the fans judge him......every time we mention the fact he won 8 games in a row last season someone pops up with the cup game we lost......enough said i think.

totally agree, If anything I feel Rangers are a stronger unit than us at the moment. People say they've been weakened by the loss of a few players but I don't think they have been as dented as people make out. They've kept Bougherra, Davis, McGregor and a few other experienced lads. At this point in time I don't think we will win the league with the current squad. Until the signings ( and they must be good) made from the McGeady sale are done then Rangers are firm favourites for the league title.

I hope im wrong, but i think huns will win it, they have only lost 3 players and have otherwise a steady team of * yet stable players, we are in a poor condition, as it stands at this moment, its huns 3 in a row:38:

Wilson, Boyd, Novo and Thompson makes it 4 with a few others being released who i don't care to remember.

I'm really not trying to say Rangers are shyte but seriously with such a small squad and so many games to play and people like Weir in their defense not getting any younger they will really struggle to keep a constant 11 with players like Miller unable by the looks of things to shake of those annoying shin splits

I totally agree. Right now Rangers would win the league again simply because we are so unblended and have the worst back 4 in a very long time and they are tough as old boots, very hard to score against etc. EVERYTHING hinges on Lenny bringing in the right 3 or 4 players needed to tip the balance. These must include a really solid LB, at least one monster CH and I am also not confident we have enough natural striking talent either. A left winger would be nice too but lower priority because we do have a lot of wide options and people who can play wide. Lennys whole future depends on getting in the right 3 or 4 players in the next week or so.

Apart from Boyd, the core of their team is still there, they'll be very difficult to beat. I think the fans will be more patient with Neil than we would usually be as we know how much he loves our club. Also, especially in the last few months,it has become clear how unwanted the celtic job is so the chances of getting someone better than Neil are very slim, which is again in Neil's favour.

Any setback and the media will whip a frenzy about Lennys inexperience etc.

We need to be ready for this starting on sat with a very tricky tie before we've got a chance to gel.
We should have enough though with three defenders still to come in we have much more strength and depth! Need to spend the Aiden money wisely.

We're not going to make an impact in Europe this season so I think League Cup very important this season to get a bit of momentum going and get the players used to winning!

the thing is mate, we have no idea what their budget is. we don't have any idea how much our own is. walter plays this card quite often. he makes us think were in a really good position , then * us over. i would prefer if we paid no attention to what those monkeys across the city say and just make sure we are as solid as we possibly can be.

to all the neil lennon doubters ! lets put things into their proper perspectives, lenny will put his heart & soul into being the celtic manager, so lets all get behind him 100%, remember he had the balls to take on the celtic job, when other so called celtic legends bottled it. (coyle, lambert, moyes etc) So c'mon guys get behind him, he deserves nothing less, he is " A true Celtic supporter". okay we can all have opinions, but please, dont fall into the same category as that wee ratbag andy walker, remember this was the same wee guy that McCann said " and who are you son". I have supported celtic for many many years now, and aye I have had reservations and doubts over them years, but never did I come out and slag my team off, ....... lennon is a tim through n through, he hurts the same as the rest of us when the celtic don't do well, what confidence do you think he would get if he was reading what the doubters are saying, how would you feel if you were in his shoes, and reading this ! Be a true Celtic supporter, not just when it suits, or when we are succesfull, as the song say " faithfull through n through". Go on lenny, you have my backing :50:
