I can totally see what Lenny is trying to do here, he is getting players that he knows have fight in them, and potentially will have the passion to play for the jersey. Solid tough players, who will fight for every ball.
It's gonna take a little time to get the team right with all the new faces, but once he gets a settled team, I think we will have a very solid and successful Celtic.
Remember he's not finished yet!!

the difference is mowbray didnt need a complete overhaul of the team the way he dun it ie. robson mcdonald he * the heart ryt out the team and now lennon hasto buy plentiful to get the fight and spirit bak

 

I genuinely think Lennon is signing quality. A lot depends on the (hopefully) left back, centre back and keeper that have been brought in but if they are of the same calibre as what I think Juarez, Ledley and Hooper are we should have no problem improving throughout the season and clinching a double at least. I think Lennon knows the type of player we need, those with hunger and resolve. I have been immensely impressed with Juarez and can see him getting player of the year and when I find the odds will be lumping on. I knew we would get humped away to Braga - impossible to throw a team together but I forsee very good season and the beginning of a new era!

 

I think Lenny is doing a great job. I like all his dealings so far and I expect him to add to the team before the end of the window. I can also see a few leaving. I mean we have a very big squad and need to ship a few out the door

 

i reckon u are right, i know i sound like a broken record now, but something is badly wrong, i am seriously worried about how the team has been put together, like as if we are going to make the same mistake as last year, there doesnt seem to be any plan for the long tearm, listen, how can a rookie boss be put in charge of our team, i am dumstruck, what a * gamble, and so far, i DO NOT like what i am seeing, lennon is like a kid in a sweet shop, hope i am wrong..i really do, but i am really worried

listen, if we lose a few games early on, or even draw them, what will happen, i think lennon may lose it completely, when he is underpressure, will he be able to cope?..i reckon the board are already worried, and thats why the other guy appeared, but typical of celtic recently, it went balls up, poor planning again, maybe im wrong, but i think the board are already worried....i wiould much rather had craig brown, but the fans would never give him a chance

 

So far what has he done to make you think like this? What do you see in the team that has you feeling this way?

 

Well Ok, the cup loss last season for a start, when the pressure was on he failed, secondly, we are out of champions league, also, I don’t rate some of the signings, ok early days, but I don’t rate them, also, why is mcgeadie so keen to get away, I don’t think lennon has the man management skills. Add to this the fact that he is a total rookie, he publicly slaughtered the players after the cup game, also, we have shipped over 8 goals in 4 games, also, why not keep the spine of the team that won the last 8 games of season, instead of breaking it up totally, we need powerful and skillful midfielders, and a proven forward, who are these guys who have signed? and already he seems to have lost faith in the keeper, to me, he is a carbon copy of TM last year, listen, if the TM thing had never happened, strachan had left, what would you have thought about lennon replacing him?Would u have been happy, I am a manager myself, I know its different, but I manage a budget, 23 staff and it takes a long time to develop the skills to manage, yet a great club has employed a rookie, the people I work for would never do this, so why have Celtic...listen, I hope I am wrong, and I will eat humble pie, I hope your faith will be rewarded buddy, but I have a feeling!

 

We have been in freefall since strachan`s last season - The defence has been left to rot and its pathetic we have had 3 managers now and still they cant "close the back door" - What the * do the scouts do at parkhead. This is now 4 years down the line and that defence couldnae keep weans oot a close !!! - I Hate to say it but smith always seems to pick a defender . Weir,Bougherra,Wilson, Ok maybe not good enough for Europe but Celtic should forget about europe just now we NEED to concentrate on stabalising the club and get the title back first and foremost.

I think the Bellamy signing target is another "stunt" like the Robbie Keane Fiasco by the board - Yeah forget about the defence and sign keane to keep the "Gullable" fans amongst the support happy - Yes we seen all "ra keane is gonnie win uz the league" - Lawwell s only happy in filling the team with Asian shirt sellers and our defence is a disgrace. the club is treating the fans like dirt.

 

spot on mate!!An institution like Celtic appoints a rookie to be the MOST IMPORTANT PERSON AT THE CLUB! unbelievable. I worry too that if results aint great in the first 1/4 of the season that Neils inexperience could put us in a similar position as last year. Nobody wants Neil to succeed more than me but his outburst towards Andy Walker and his after match assesment after Braga have made me very nervous indeed. Please Neil prove me wrong I will gladly eat humble pie
