Georgios Samaras

Samaras can be a 9/10 and the next game a 1/10.

I'd swap that for a consistent 6-7/10 any day.

 

He is nothing short of useless time after time he took to long on the ball his decision making is poor to say the least....

 

but he was still our main threat today. go and pick on the other useless clowns that were kidding themselves on today as the samaras bashing is soooo boring now

 

Has he ever had a rating of 9 in a big game I wouldnt think, so he's maybe a good player against mediocre defenders. Ffs a pub team player could read samaras he's so predictable. A total waste of space.

Samaras ran his guts out for 90 minutes and was not the reason we lost. Try looking at our defence (again) who were at fault for the first two goals, and the referee who gave the softest penalty you'll ever see.

 

I have been tolerant with sammy until now but not any more. I couldn't get up to the game today but i was sat shouting at my telly "just pass the * ball". He tried but is far too greedy.He could have passed many times today to create chances but as usual tries to go it alone and gives the ball away. He has little glimpses of what he may be capable of but goes and throws it all away 2 seconds later.

He has to be the least consistent player i have ever seen.

 

One of my problems with him is that when he goes up to head a ball he always seems to misjudge the flight of the ball missing the header.

 

I honestly don't see why people are getting laid into Samaras.

He wasn't one of our worst players today at all. Stokes for example had a nightmare, but there ain't a thread of people getting laid into him.

Think the main gripe people have, well mine definitely, is the fact he is so inconsisent that it's hard to take to him.

He also hold the ball far too long, isn't direct enough and if I need to keep seeing his hand in his heads move for much longer I might just shave my eyes off.

 

I cant blame samaras for today cause its everyones fault it was a day nuffin went rite for us.... sammy willl do the business still in the league and we need him and we need the backing of the fans we are the famous glasgow celtic!

Terrible how some fans focus on past and not individual present/current performances... He done OK today , not brilliant but kept his composure and went for it.. more than many of the team did.

 

Very well said mate, i think some players went hiding today, sammy was not the worst player today! easy to blame him tho!

 

Thats pretty much the whole problem. Its incredibly hard for others to get over their past grudges with him. I always hear that he's an "enigma" or "inconsistent" but I usually only hear specific evidence that he's played poorly from a few people, others just jump on the general hate-wagon. Even if he has a good game, they will always find something wrong, and jump on him for it, despite a great performance.

 

Thats the problem.. this will be classed as one of Sammy's terrible performances, so therefore will be used as yet another inconsistent game.


.... at least he never fell asleep and gave it all until the final whistle
