You dont rate Wilson? I think he's brillant, imo Camara is the same Agathe, all speed and cant cross

Im happy so far obviously, he won us the double last year so there can be no arguments about that. Im holding back a full judgement though because hes not had a fair crack at Europe yet tho. Last year was far too rushed so we have to wait and see what happens this year in the CL. I believe we can do well tho, our attacking style suits european football dwon to the ground, so hopefully by Christmas i can give two thumbs up rather than just the one :50:

lol you would have kepy agathe and have him over wilson ,, sorry but that has to be the dumbest reply ever... agathe is pish.. and thats why hes no here..and no * wants him .. Juventus (lol) ... i watched a lot of reserve games he played in too .. * murder... as for strachan going on last season and signings its a definite yes from me so far , this season he has to prove the doubters all over again , so will review strachan situation at the end of the season , i would like to do well in europe this season , but if he does back2back titles this season then ya gotta hand it to the wee man.

he has made great job so far without doubt... we'll see what the future will bring... he's in the point from where he may become a Celtic legend... everything depends on luck and his abilities... we'll see...

I think you have left out what most manager/coaches need and that is finacial backing!

aye you're right mate. but if he succeded without financial backing he'll be THE GREATEST HERO :50: there were such guys in the football history... don't even tell me you don't want Strachan become one of them no matter how impossible it is... :84:

Your asking a question that wont happen, so please I have no intentions of joining the Walter Mitty club.
GS is a coach that will need money, because Celtic have a squad that needs strengthening with CL class players, or they can forget the CL, and will have it tough in the SPL as well with the existing squad, in that I have absolutely no doubt! :87:

yes WGS needs the financial backing .. imo he has to be met halfway only fair ... its not like we dont have the money .. thats just a lame excuse ... i know one thing of Strachan tho maybe telfer/virgo/camara was a bit of a no-no but never gonna get every signing right no manager does ... but he has great eye for spotting players WGS i think... last season ..Boruc / Naka / Magic ... hardly anyone had heard much of these players and they are maybe world class and im liking the look of most of the new signings so far this season..Jiri / Miller etc... he also brings youth to the side and gives youth the chance to progress.

jee... mate everybody can dream! i think some of you guys are too serious sometimes... don't speak to me like to the complete idiot... i know financial backing is a priority but we (fans) should not complain all the time that we (celtic) have no money we would like to have... do you remember this old celtic saying - 'KEEP THE FAITH' ?? :ynwacelti

Theres no way Agathe was "pish" and dont give me that "i've watched a lot of reserve games" *. Some people on this forum when they dont actually have a leg to stand on go with the old "I watched such and such a league that noone else is likely to have seen" - classic.

The fact is Agathe was twice the player of Telfer - hence why people are * off he left. And no hes nothing like Camara. For a start if Agathe was given space to run into NOONE could catch him (even if the final ball tended to be poor) AND he never got caught out of position. I refer you to 90% of the games where Camara has played and been caught of of positon/cant skin anyone/bad final ball....

Oh and Agathes tracking back was second to none

agathe was average at best yes he was better than telfer and camara .. but that wouldnt be hard now would it ... but instead of wilson .. gieez piece ... agathe is not celtic class he went back a ton also .. was good for a spell under oneill but seriously lost his way ... i saw him many games thereafter.in the reseves on CTV .. and yes he is pish .. all he had is speed ... so does ross wallace.. does that make him a great defender ?

I disagree mate. I wouldn't say he was a great winger, but I rated him highly as a right back for Celtic. His first season he was a great winger but then he was found out, then when he got put as a right back I thought he was good for us. He had great pace and a good tackle so I can't see how anyone can question his defensive qualities. Especially when we play Telfer at right back the now..:fear:

one more thing Hubert. The 'pope under polish coaches' - Kazimierz Gorski - a father of polish success in 70ies used to say: 'everything is possible until the ball is in the game'... yea yea we should be realists but did Otto Rehhagel has a financial backing or even quality players while reaching the euro 2004 champions title? please stop complain untill there's nothing to complain about... KEEP THE FAITH again ;) cheers

This is true, but I still rated Agathe quite highly as a defender tbh. Was rarely caught out of position due to his pace.

I don't think Strachan is a second rate Manager No-way m8 as look at What GS had do,GS had to follow in the footsteps of the great Man Himself MON,Personaly Thats a hard act to follow and Yes we got Fecked in Europe against Bratislava(but they showed they weren't Mugs!!)

I've got to give GS credit for bringing the SPL back to where it belongs and just look at the signings he brought in Magic Zurawski is scoring like Mad and personaly he might go on and be a great servant to Celtic or should I say ANOTHER LARSSON!! Also GS brought in Nakamuraaa and what a player he is sure enough he made mistakes with Signings ie Telfer,Virgo,Du-Wei but so to did MON with signings but in GS first Year he got us the Double and a Route to the CL by us going straight into the Group-stage with-out Silly quailfliers so lets hope he goes one better than MON by the Bhoys reaching thje Knock-out phase for there First-time and how knows Celtic may go even futher!!
The bhoys Also Won the CIS-Cup(yes i know ppl say Mickey Mouse cup but its still the double!!)

Personaly I don't think there should be silly threads like this talking about GS as if Celtic were in total disaray and are we No We aren't are we????Sitting top-of-the-league-AGAIN!!!

I hope GS goes on and WINS THE TREBLE THIS YEAR or even do REALLY well in the CL and that will shut a few people up who don't like the Man+the Media Would Hate It if GS done really well this year!!
