Aiden McGeady.

All the lost balls in past seasons... failed tricks... * crosses. I always said he would come good. Our wee star. I proved everyone who watches football with me wrong. I LOVE YOU LONG TIME AIDEN!!! Wooooo.

 

I think people are starting to get carried away with Aiden I thought he was pretty wasteful today and he still needs to brush up on a few aspects of his game

 

McGeady is a great player with the world at his feet. Still has a lot to learn and I'm sure he will.

 

aiden had a shaky first 15 mins lost the ball a few times... but after that he was a f*cking magic bhoy! he is goin 2 b great for us! he back tracked n flew up the wing all game, hes here hes there hes every where! the best uv ever seen??? je ne sais pas? but im glad to hav mcgeady in the hoops of white n green! (it rhymes )

 

McGeady Great Player but still has to learn ! hopefully he will get a good lot off goals & Assists this season

 

The wee man played well today and its good to see. Hopefully he continues to improve because he's not the finished player who is going to be a first pick yet. We all love watching the wee tricks but sometimes the best thing to do is the simple ball. When he gets that right he will be in with a shout! I'm not bringing him down saying that, just wait till he irons his game out and then we can rave about him. Maybe the CL is where he will shine?

 

Mcgeady was exceptional today some of the stuff he did at times attacking wise ... but one game doesnt make a season ... he will have to keep it up big time ... and improve other aspects of his game for sure ... because with maloney coming back places will be fought for ... having said that he has great potentiall as with maloney ... both are not the finished article but they aint far away...great attributes both players... i mean we have 2 players of that ilk who have came thru the ranks and many more at the helm ... who can you honestly say threu youth setup that the hunz have brought thru that are good ?? barry square baw and mullet burke ?.. thats all .. our youth setup is second to none tbh.

 

Personally for some parts of the game I thought McGeady was nowhere to be seen. But other parts he was playing brilliantly, if he could keep up consistancy throughout a game then he'd be excellent for us.

 

I think the most important thing he's added lately is a physical presence. He can hold his own on the field now which is a far cry from the young 17-year-old we seen a few years back. All the other stuff will come with experience

 

Dya not been the 17-year-old....around 4 years back? He's not as young as you think pal.

 

Wee fairy bhoy was very impressive today.

Soon I will stop calling him wee fairy bhoy

 

My mates call me the ballerina when I'm on the ball. McGeadys in the same mould as me. I'm sure he can emulate my skills and you never know.. he might even go that one step further and really be the best. long Live Aiden!!!

We had half the U19 team playing tonight and some good youngsters in the 1st team. If we can give the Bhoys a chance we may get great things. They have to get the chance, and that means the chance to taste defeat...

 

If he played the same in the second half as he did in the first then it wouldn't have been a good performance. Second half he was a different class altogether. I think part of the problem is not having someone solid backing him up at left back. If we got that then McGeady will flourish.

 

He had a decent pre-season and did well against Kilmarnock but I think we should reserve judgement of him for a few months into the season.

He is looking sharp though and on form at the moment.

 

He will never please some of you, but i think he is class on his way to World Class if given the chance.
