What was the point in Hearts playing at Merrifield and not Tynecastle for the qualifies that they are going to get pumped in? They have only sold 20,000 seats for the game:56:

Tynecastle did not past some UEFA safety thing.

The tynecastle pitch is not big enough to stage European football and so have no choice but to play it elsewhere.

Maybe because the fans need more leg room, but why build a stadium with too small a park to play in europe?

When Tynecastle was designed they didn't know what the Uefa requirements would be decades later.

They probably didn’t think that Tyncaslte would ever play host to a European tie, probably never will play a proper European tie either, they are going to get humped in these qualifiers

Think they had a one off season last time around personally, and doubt very much whether they'll make it to the CL group stages... Does anybody know if theyre seeded? Im guessing not?

They are seeded for this round (I think) but won't be for the 3rd and the group stages if they get there.

Its the space between the stands and the pitch at Tynecastle thats too small. Its built so this can be changed but it costs so much that its cheaper to goto Murrayfield

They were one season wonders last year, they got 2nd place because Rangers were bad, not because Hearts were good. They have also lost their two main goal scores for the coming season.

I think Hearts will suprise afew people next season to... I can see them finishing 3rd but right behind the team who finishes second.
