I note we play Kilmarnock and then fly to Japan and then a few days later to play Hearts and then fly to London and play Chelsea. Okay, I know that this to bring in cash and to raise the profile of the Celtic brand and all that, but! Is it a good idea to play the runners up last season after a quick round trip to Japan. Imo, the Japan trip should have been earlier in pre-season and should have involved more than 1 game. The either USA or Poland should have been sacrificed. I don 't think it would have happened if we were playing Rangers! You won't need to wait for the outcry if we lose that game.

Peter Lawell acknowledged Celtic thought the SPL would start in August, therefore they booked these games before the predicted start of the season.
