Why the F*** did we sell Hartson ?

Just wondering why we sold Hartson , were crying out for a john Hartson !

I can't see the sense in it ...
Please please don't say it was a money decision

 

it was a tactics desision it was announced ages ago that we are not doing pressing anymore and going to strachans slick fast style hartson would not be the player we need a tall or fastpowerful player like crouch or cisse who I think if he acted up a bit with his celebrations we could have got him on loan

so we need a tall fast player witha good first touch which I have not seen its another problem theres not point playing long balls if they don't have a good first touch


last time I seen a team with a good first touch probably when beattie got injured who has a great first touch and run but hes not played for ages and will take time to get into fitness

 

Naw it wasnt a money decision, it was a fitba decision, Hartsons lack of mobility hindered him from playing fitba at the required pace and skill! Ffs!

Hartson would have scored 20 goals next season. Enough said.

 

We have lost a 20 goal a season man and haven't replaced him yet.

With only a week or so left to the SPL kick-off it is a concern.

 

well if he had stayed he would'nt of been played to slow for the new tactics he would not score any goals in our new system time for fast tall people since when did hartson jump last time I agree he was not bad last season but near the end of the season he was swetting in 15 mins on the field and I mean swetting I think it was actually a good time to hang up his boots


riodan is better he can do 1 on 1 s and can set up goals I can remember he played good against celtic last season he voled the ball from the edge of the box hit the bar it bounced back he ran on to it and volled it but boruc caught it

 

Because he is literally 3 stone overweight
He can barely run at a canter
Gets paid 30,000 a week and cant last anymore than 60 minutes of which he barely contributes
Only effective in games we dominate. Tight games is nowhere to be seen

he was Fat and Done thats why he was sold he cant run at all now ffsk.. we got his best days out of him. same as with sutton ..youll probly find * be more injury prone also .. no big loss..time to move on..new blood etc.

john hartson did a great job while he was at cp, but i think it was the right time to sell him, we have magic, miller, riordan and beattie, who would all start before him next season and all offer more of a threat, so thanks for the memorys big bad john and we will never forget that great goal against liverpool.

Hartson's fitness is gone and it doesnt look like he would get it back. His wages were sky high aswell. If he wants a target man he can now get a fit one that doesnt break the bank and maybe that player can score 20 goals a season also. There are enough crap teams to do so.

As good as Hartson was for Celtic, his time here was up.

 

If we manage to get another striker in whos of a similar quality to Hartson but younger and more mobile, letting Hartson go was a good move. At the minute tho its wasnt, because we dont have a similar player who scores the Hartson scores. Theres time yet tho.

 

Is that it, i know he's past his best, but he has got to be worth more than that. With that money, do you think we will be able to replace him?

 

yeah we will have to replace him ,, sell petrov and then bring in a Lb , Striker and another Midfielder 3 players.

 

im a massive hartson fan but he only scored 2 goals since xmas and was the clubs top earner ...

 

Hartson will be replaced. I would have preferred if they had someone on the books by now. The longer it goes on the more likelt they will pay an inflated price for someone who doesn't really fit the bill.

 

geezo when hartson was here no one wanted him. n now that hes gone everyone wonders y the F*** we got rid of him.... thats a bit 2faced tbh
