Agent claims Thompson is unwanted

thats way he argue and fights with opposing players he knows he,s not got it anymore .BUT there are better ways to deal with it.

 

I agree he's past his prime and not worth the money. But honestly, I am shocked that so many are willing to tell him to * off. He's always been a great soldier for us

No excuses for his behaviour, he has been a good servant to the club, but he has also been paid well for it, especially considering he's hardly kicked a ball in 2 years.
Thommo has outstayed his welcome, he's well passed his sell by date, and is behind Maloney, McGeady, Pearson and Nakamura for the left midfield position, time's up for Thommo.

 

Thompson, to spite being an Englishman, is a player who plays more for the club than for himself.

I am in agreement, I would like to see this agent hung out to dry and a statement from Thompson on the matter would not go a miss. Someone is talking *, is it GS or is it the agent. My money is on the agent.

 

IMO Alan Thompson will always be remember as a Celtic Great.

But times change. He is not needed at the club now and should move on.

 

Very dissapointed when Sutty left not so much when BBJ went but Thompson can * OFF as far as im concerned i too remember the ear cupping incident done it right in front on me, he's been * since he got his engerland cap and hasn't kicked his own * since then, thinks he's a better player than he actually is, no * will have him that's why he'll sit it out for the rest of his contract.

 

Totally agree with you mate. He needs to move on, he's surplus to requirements. He's had some great seasons and wont be forgotten IMO.

What the * has Varga got to do with any of that? He just signed a new contract.

 

i was making the point that a few mounths ago mcgill said we had no chance of retaining varga and we did if you read my post propperly you will have seen that i mentiond that we resinged varga for another year.

I can accept that an agent has his player's interests at heart. But in the case of Petrov, the player has a 4 year contract and the club expect it to be honoured. The agent must shut the * up and the player must get on with it and stop crying to the press.

He's deliberately trying to break down the working relationship to get at loopholes in a contract.

 

I don`t think we need Varga, what age is he now? 34...na let him go.
