MAF over Sammy. 2 different players but Fortune gives us more stabilty. However I think both will be given a chance by Lennon at some point.

How do people not like MAF ?

All he needs to improve imo, is goalscoring and final pass, he is good at everything else imo. He is a good outlet and will prove a better player this season.

If Samaras can stay on form (seems unlikely) then we have a star on our hands. I also rate MAF though. No reason why it has to be either or.

Agree that Samaras can be of some use, maybe coming off the bench- especially when he's feeling confident. MAF has everything in his game except the final ball and a better return on goals will be needed.

i remember the whole of glasgow, only a few months ago, saying samaras has the potential to be *.

samaras is the worst striker i have seen in a long time, truely awfull.

he may get his chance this year, he will play well for 5 games or so and then the * will hit the fan and it will all go * up. again. thats the story of samaras

sammy is 25 and on his day is by far the best of the 2. hes a confidence player and has done it in big games too. yes he is infuriating but when hes good he is unplayable. his one man show for greece against argentina in the world cup was awesome. he also only cost £1.2m so was value for money.
fortune is pushing 30, will score some cracking goals but overall is a letdown for the £4m we paid for him. holds the ball ok and has a nice spin but doesnt have great pace and dont score enough.
only one winner for me. samaras any day of the week. but if u were to sell one tomorow i think sammy would command the bigger fee

short answer, yes. samaras lives off the reputation of his 4 good games a year, the rest he is utter *. i would rather give younger players a chance to prove themselves than see samaras waste good chances and keep the ball in play with a wee slide just for the opposition to pick it up and for him to go in a wee huff.

you cant be serious when you say samaras would be in your starting line up if all players are fit?

i guarantee you that at some point in the next season you will want rid of samaras. he offers very little to the team, gets pushed about too much for a guy of his size, his touch is similar to mine, his finishing is worse than mine, his accelaration is terrible, his work rate is shocking when things arent going well.

I strongly disagree. Poor passer, crosser and header, not particularly fast, constantly looks disinterested, and scores very few goals.

out of the strikers we have at the minute its defo samaras plus 1 ! take ur pick from hooper or murphy for the other slot. if everyone would get off sammys back he would be a great player for us. fed up off everyone picking on him. sit and watch brown and mcgeady constantly giving the ball away all game and no moans then sammy does it once after about 60 mins and the whole place goes mental at him. sammy has more skill and ability than the rest of our forwards put together but because of people like u who cant wait for him to make a mistake so u can get on his back he will probably never get the chance to properly make it at celtic.

Both capable of playing a blinder every now and again. Sometimes Sammy looks untouchable and Fortunes performance in the Old Firm match he got a goal wrongly chalked off was fantastic. Bullied the Huns.

If they can play with consistancy we have a couple of good players. If not we have non achievers.
