sammy thinks he is better than he is, so he has confidence to go on ludicrous runs and spectacular efforts at goal, sometimes in the spl it pays off ( by fluke imo) sammy against any decent calibre of team is diabolical!! Fortune is not much better but he keeps things a little more simple and think would be a much better partner upfront with hooper, he can hold the ball up better than sammy which will probably serve hoopers game better than directional-less sammy!
but both poor players none the less!

Samaras all the way for me.

Loved seeing him rip the pish out of Darren Fletcher by the touchline the other night - great piece of play. :50:

Samaras is a better player overall although I think Fortune is better at holding up play.

Problem with both guys is that they can be individually good and then be poor team players.. Don't think there's room for both for another season hence the possible sale of Sammy to Hercules but if Sammy is to stay on for this season then his contract needs to be extended for another year..

Samaras is better than Fortune and is more loyal than Keane. Keane wanted huge wages to sign a contract with us and wasn't prepared to take a wage cut to play for us. Samaras has shunned all offers from the Primera Liga and made it clear that he wants to stay at Celtic. But what does he get in return for his goal record and loyalty? sammy gets boos and jeers from alot of our supposed "fans" and keane gets lavish praise for leaving us like a piece of garbage.

There will come a time when Sammy will have enough of the abuse and take up a lucrative offer with many of the teams around Europe who appraciate him as a player and as a loyal person.

A Greek friend of mine told me that Sammy will sign for an Serie A club (possibly Palermo) soon for 2 million. Then we have to rely on Rasmussen and Fortune to get our goals and all you Sammy-bashers will realise what an asset Sammy was for our team when those two muppets get sweet fa......

Just a small reminder to those with short memories:

Can you find a similar vid for Fortune?????

On his day -which is not very often- Samaras is class , goals against Kilmarnok etc but Fortune was sort of under rated last season imo , not a brilliant goal scorer but a good team player , his hold up play is excellent which allowed other players to get up and attack so Fortune has my vote.

Keane refused a pay cut??? Firstly he wasn't our player, seconfly we never even made an offer for him so the ball was never in his court. Bit harsh you slating Keano when it was out of his hands. As for Sammy, no offers have come in and I would imagine the first one that does will be given serious consideration. We all know how talented the boy is but he fails to show up on so many occasions. He's been in Britain for 5 years now and still has to reproduce the form that got him a move to Man City

I hope it dozen't come to that because Sammy on his day is virtually unplayable and he absolutely loves the club.

Samaras for me by the length of Argyle St.

^^^ That's right, we support Keano 'cos he's Irish - he gets away with murder. If he wanted, he would've stayed at Celtic but he thinks he's too good for the club. Little does he know that he'll soon be out of Tottenham because he's on a steep decline as evidenced by the SITTERS he missed at Liverpool and the poor performances recently for Spurs........

The time will come when we will be begging Samaras to come back to our club because the shower of * duo Fortune and Rasmussen couldn't score in a * house. Careful what you wish for Sammy-bashers, when Sammy is banging goals in Serie A you'll be kicking yourselves for being so hard of the fella...

come on guys , the love for Sammy is way over the top based on what he's done for us which is really all that matters.. If your going to swing from someones nuts , make it someone who can play football to a good level on a regular basis not a guy who plays well depending on which way the wind is blowing...

You can keep looking and you won't find any :icon_mrgreen: Fortune is a £4M Mowbray flop that we should be moving on. The guy couldn't score in a barrow load of fannies.
