CL Pot 3

If the italians get the hook and other teams take their place does that mean we might get bumped back to pot 3???

 

doubt it. other clubs would go lower pot

 

We could face Chelsea and Bayern Munich if the get bumped up into Pot 1 :/

 

It will be Valencia up into pot 1, assuming they win their qualifier.
So will Lyon.

Italys 4 champions league entrants will now be Inter Milan, Roma, Chievo and Palermo.

Inter Milan were already in pot 1 so will stay there.
Roma will come into pot 2 with us.
Chievo and Palermo should go into pot 4.

We will avoid Sporting Lisbon as they come into our pot from pot 3.
So will Lille if they win their qualifier.
If they dont it will be Benfica if they win their qualifier.
If they dont, then its Bordeuax.

Up into pot 3 will be Anderlecht.
So will AEK Athens if they win their qualifier.
If not, same goes for Dynamo Kiev, then Levski Sofia.

The movement in the last 2 groups sort of depends on where Chievo and Palermo come into the seedings, as it isnt clear at the moment where they will be going.

To be honest, it only seems to make our qualification through the group stages that wee bit easier.

This obviously depends on who comes into the champions league for Italy.

Why would we go down a pot when the teams are in Pot 1.

 

Depends on the coeffiecients. Roma may have a higher coefficient than us

3 new Italian teams come in, however, Juventus and AC milan where in Pot1, this leaves leaves 2 gaps to fill. Neither Chievo nor Palermo could be a higher co-effeciant than us.

Don't think so, I believe we were the lowest ranked team in Pot 2.

 

This coefficiant and ranking stuff is confusing. Especially with this bloomin Italian scandal! I think it'd be alot easier that if you win you're league and go through your qualifiers(if you need to) then you should be pot 1. Would stop all the hassle. But then again, I'm not in UEFA so what I say means * all lol

 

If a team like Cork City got into the group stage after winning their league last year, should they be pot1?

Coeffiecients are confusing at times but they are there to give the benefits to the teams that have good runs in the euro cups

Maybe got a good point, but I'd imagine Cork City would get put out in a qualifier...

 

Its valencia and lyon who are now in pot 1
chelsea have no chance of getting into pot 1

 

All i can say is Mon the Bhoys ! A Dont realy care who we face we can beat them all anyway !
