We still have Boruc, Naka, Zura and Balde to come back.

No matter what some say i think Balde is very important to us, we missed a few games last year and in those games we let goals in left right and centre, its the same now.

I wonder where the people who slaughtered Balde recently and claimed McManus, Caldwell and Wilson were CL class have gone?

ive always loved balde ... tbh we aint the same team without him/ solid and gives us a bit of strength/ no nonsense we need.... gonna miss him for sure ...
caldwell is good with the ball at his feet going forward but defensively he can be found out i think sumtimes mcmanus too... hopefully kennedy maybe come back to something like his old self asap but not played for 2 years remember.. i would prefer to see caldwell in a more defensive midfield role.. in the future when balde etc is fit... we need a few more players still tho 2 or 3 at least.

I am still here, Balde is a disaster to me, never said McManus and Wilson were CL class, and I am not sure about Caldwell one way or the other, but I can assure you that McManus and Wilson will conduct themselves fitba wise in the CL in a far better fitba manner than Balde will.

McManus was responsible for goals in both Polish games, came charging out of position and was exposed for the 1st goal last night, in short, a disaster. Its no coincidence that he was on his way to St Mirren before WGS came in, that is his level.

Well I dont accept your explanation, the present squad and games are a shambles to judge a player like McManus that had a good season last year, with these pathetic friendlies doesnt cut it for me, a terrible comparison!
Now get back to Balde he has little if any fitba, can hardly clear or kick a ball with his left foot, stumbles when attempting to control the ball, canny head a ball to a team mate when clearing and that includes with his feet, he is a terrible excuse for a fitba player!
PS if your standard is a Balde type then you and I will rarely agree about anything in fitba!

Its true Boruc Naka, Zura and Balde would have made a very big differance if they were playing in the team this Morning as i feel Magic+Miller will score goals together with the services coming from Jarosik,Maloney+Riordan,I'm a bit worried about Lenny as this is his final year with the bhoys but hes our leader untill GS says!!

,I wonder if GS will try and blend Evander Sno into Lenny's position with the young bhoy learning all the time, lets hope Miller gets his act together coz there wasn't any need for that tackle on the DC Player was there?? but i suppose its like this with every player it takes time just look at Zurawski last season when he came he never scored for a few games then bang goals from everywhere from Magic just hope Strachan gets it fixed as we need a LB and another striker hopefully a top-class striker who can pass all his knowlege to the youger bhoys!!!!!!!!!!and finally does Strachan need another back-up-keeper?????

I would say Evander Sno would be better in Lenny's position and he will give us goals hopefully

Yea i think we need another GK too. Get DM out on loan because clearly sitting on the bench last season done him no good.

Im afraid im on the criticise Balde team......................he caused as many goals this season as he helped prevent. Sure his physical prescence is intimidating but why he has decided to dribble past attackers as the last man in defence while not under stress?. i LIke the fact that GS is teaching his players to pass the ball out of defence and build up an attack from the back, but Balde IMO has been a liability with this strategy and has chosen the most unsuitable of occasions to give the balll away. Mc Manus had a great season last year all things considered. and Varga played well when he got his chance. Mark Wilson was immense. so to conclude, the defense should be improved but is Balde the answer? im not convinced!

    open for debate guys!
