a joke of a fan ? why because i dislike a completely incompetent player ?
I go to the games, i cheer him on and i genuinely want him to do well for the team but he is not good enough. Plus don't take the petition thing literally. Petitions take too much time to set up etc. Can't do with all that hassle.

 

Is 13 goals in your first season incompetent? He's far, far from the worst player that's played for Celtic. Chris Killen for one. Calling a celtic player 'worse than ali dia' and 'the worst player to have played for celtic, ever' aren't the actions of a true fan, IMO.

 

Lads, calling Fortune our worst ever player, and calling a fellow Celt a joke of a fan for something so daft are both a little harsh! Bite one's tongue and let's talk football!

 

Chris Killen hardly got a start for Celtic so that is being unfair imo.
Fortune has been a £4M flop. The guy pays his money and he is entitled

Thanks for a bit of back up. I have pumped tens of thousands of pounds into celtic football club and as soon as you dislike one player you arent a "true" fan. Tell me what is a "true" fan? I was under the illusion that I was a "true" fan of celtic after spending 14 years in the Main Stand. I've sat through good and bad times and i can honestly say that Fortune is the worst player that "I"
have seen. Certainly value for money wise.

 

Does the amount of money you spend make you a better fan then?

What can Fortuné do about the amount of money TM decided to spend on him.

As for those calling him a flop - I don't get it. Larsson played way more games than Fortuné did in his first season and only scored 6 more goals than him.
How can you be so impatient with a player?

As for Chris Killen - I wasn't slagging him off. I said that he's not as good as Fortuné. As for this 'hardly got a start' he's played 2 less games than Fortuné has, and scored way less.
There's a difference between what I said and comparing him to a scam artist.

I've said it before and I've yet to hear a good response. MAF's first season in a foreign country. Riddling with injury. Ridiculed by fans and the press. Most likely confused by inconsistent tactics from TM. No settled formation or strike partner. Still manages 13 goals, one of which is the winner against the huns, not to mention numerous assists.

HOW can you call that a flop? Or a dud. Or some of the other unmentionables I've heard screamed at him from the stands.

You're right. No point in arguing about this really, so I'll stop. I've made my point, and I don't expect any sort of measured response. Off to bed anyway, not looking forward to this impending hangover.

 

If Stokes arrives at a decent price I think it could be helpful. After all we haven't walked through the SPL the last two years, we've been runners-up, so having a striker that can get us goals in the SPL would benefit us. Sure, Keane and Bellamy help far more if you're talking CL, but either way grabbing one of them doesn't guarantee that you go any farther in Europe. Celtic need a lot of re-strengthening, which is why Lenny is bringing in so many new faces. Save the massive money they would cost in both fee and wages, and solve multiple problems with it. You may lack the star power, but you will have a more balanced, more competitive overall side.

Eh...really? He scored twice as many goals as any of our forwards playing for Hibs and was only 21 at the time.

I think Lenny wants to play a 4-2-3-1 similar in style to Germany at the WC and Stokes would fit perfectly in the "Podolski" role of a goal scoring forward floating between the wing and centrally and really being a goal scoring threat.

podolski role?? so u think a 2 bob striker that scored 4 goals with 4 clubs in england could play wide left and provide and score goals?? wow !! wonder why real madrid and barca were not in for stokes in the summer when he coudnt find a club to take him. killen scored nearly as many goals for hibs. riordan did and is doing so again and he wasnt good enough for us. why dont we go sign john daly? hes scored a few spl goals last year. or craig dargo, hes scored a few spl goals too. when upped a level he has been found wanting. every team we play in the spl has 10 men behind the ball. not so when u play for hibs and aberdeen and dundee utd so just cause they score a few spl goals dont mean they can go up a level and do it for celtic. as iv said when he was upped a level before he struggled badly. infact he ended up on the scrapheap !

 

Up to lenny at the end of the day. if hes wearing the hoops next season lets support him and welcome him back
