Article in the paper today in which Johnston was telling the Celtic team that the pitch there might * them. Aparently it´s really hard and a rotten surface to play on.

u cnt really blame the pitch for a bad performance tho! the need to be used to tht their proffesionals.

 

The game hasn´t been played yet, so I can hardly blame that for anything. I can´t see the future so can´t see if it´ll be a bad performance or not. All I´m saying is that the pitch is a hard one and could cause injury.

 

All Chivas need to do is play their reserves, and win!
GS has me scared if he feels we need strikers over defenders, granted we cant score goals even in friendlies, however that is due to the overall structure of a poor squad, to begin with.
Also I hear it mentioned often about Telfer, well, Telfer is a poor player, however this is not just reverting to a one position problem, it affects the needed left back, as Wilson has to play there to accomodate Telfer.
What a * shambles!
And we aint seen nuthin yet, unless something vewry serious happens to the good squad wise Rangers will walk the SPL, and as I said before, forget the CL!

Mo Johnston said that the pitch was like Running on 'CONCRETE' and there has been lots injuries of every kind over the past-few seasons because of the problems the pitch throws up.Johnston also says that if they think Dunfermline's pitch was bad they ain't seen nothing yet!

Also they have been talking about replacing the Astro-Turf(and put down Europane Pitch) but it still hasn't happened and that was a few seasons back.

Lets hope our bhoys don't gert injured out here even if the team isn't playing good I would hate to see Riordan,Sno,Jarosik,Maloney,Beattie(prone to injury)McGeady etc out injured at the start of the season as we need every-one 100% fit and hopefully GS DOES bring in another couple of players if the sale of Petrov goes ahead(as long as Pompey pay £5million thats all Celtic want i think??)Another Striker Left-back is a must but just look at our last three reseults 7 goals let in and NONE scored so maybe another defender is a must too or another back-up keeper as DM seems to half lost a lot of confidance playing for the bhoys coz he did let in silly goals,Marshy could have stop a few I feel maybe GS should loan out Marshall that way Marshall plays every game(probably in the English Championship) and hopefully gets his confidence back as I feel hes lost it at Celtic the now!

 

for all the hate in the .dc.united match thread...i dont care if we get pumped 10-0. with the rest of the pre season games left.. as long as when the 29th july comes around we are all match fit and raring to go... i shall not judge any game in pre season... diffrent formations try out subs etc .. thats what the whole point is a learning experience ... people are too quick to judge ...as long as we win the league and have a good run in europe.. and another couple of signings ill be happy... be afraid Huns... for we are the champions come and try take the title back with your french frog..

also hubert what a statement that is to make call yourself a celtic fan..but your right on telfer tho get rid asap.... as for champs league / campain wait and see then ... at the very least we got 10 mil + if hearts dont even qualify we get all the tv.rights money too ... as for rangers..haha.. what champs league are they in.? i forgot.

getting beat 10-0 every game would reflect not the team but the manager's tactial awarness imo

now i think we can't sell petrov for now we need to streathen midfield or play sno more instead of neil lennon same kind of players but sno is faster and we should play boruc aswell marshall has had his chance he was a one season wonder hes to co*ky now in the first season the only reason i think he played good was because of preassure coz he wiz young but now hes use to it and not as good happens all the time one season wonders

The pitch in New York is field turf and its awful, it will be like playing on carpet.

Celtic and GS will have to sharpen up quick.

The defence and strike force MUST be strengthened. No goals in 3 friendlies is a pure return whilst 7 goals conceded is shocking, all against "lesser" opposition.

 

we suck though. i really dont see what else GS can do. hes not man enough to boot the likes varga,lennon, thompson and telfer. What experience have these guys even got. They tried and failed at the champions league so we need a new crop of players to have a go not stick with the old failures. If they failed then , then they will surely fail in the coming months.

 

The midfield isnt functioning. This puts more pressure on an already creaking defense and also means we are not creating chances.
