Too right. Although they made a meal of it they went from east coast to canada to west coast to east coast again. Why didn't they put the Deebo and Lisbon games next to eachother, start off by playing the Sounders on the west coast then go to toronto to play Man Utd then finish off on the east coast. Stevie Wonder must have been their official travel agent for this tour lol.

3 games and Sammy playing a game-deciding part in all of them. If he's not the first name on Lennon's team sheet against Braga there's something very wrong.

Didn't see the Sporting match though, just him winning and putting away the pen but I've heard he had a good game on top of that.

I'm trying to work out who Lennon will be squeezing into the team, it's almost impossible to pick a first 11 or formation but he will surely be squeezing in Samaras (for performance), new signings Juarez, Mulgrew, Ledley and I think he can't not choose Hinkel.

I'm thinking a standard 4-4-2

Nothing against Lennon but knowing that the transfer deadline for the champs league game is tonight, i thought he would have played what he thinks is his strongest team available to him at present ,but again there was a lot of changes ,yeah they have played 4 games in 10 days or so and players need rested etc but i would have played the strongest outfit for say 70mins last night .

Maybe Lennon see's a couple of buys coming in today i dont know but if he does sign anyone today what does he do ,the next game is Braga ,does he gamble on players that havent kicked a ball for Celtic or what ,Name right out my head just now ,The Mexican bhoy looks like he is a cert to play at some point in the game ,again i hope it pays off ,but the American tour personally the first 2 games i would have done exactly what he did but the last 2 games i would have went with the team that he has in his head for Braga .

Yeah I know what you mean. My only explanation is perhaps he has a set 11 in his head (although new signings might change that) and the pre-season games were simply a physical (and marketing) exercise to get every member of the team in shape.

If he had to pick a team now I think he'd almost certainly go with players who did not sign this summer, the only exception probably Juarez who might expect a start and Mulgrew.

We really do have a bloated squad though - 6/7 centre-backs with 2 spaces, same with strikers, plenty CM's, plenty wingers, 3/4 right backs... It's a bit ridiculous.

 

Happy with this, Lenny comes out looking good here, talks well, has a good rapport with the press/media.

Its all heading in the right direction for the Bhoys

Agree with the comment about the 4 games in a handful of days covering thousands of miles - all said and done, the bhoys have done well in my book
