I am often very critical of him but he hasbeen playing well, he also ended last season on a high note. Maybe Lenny has had an effect on him

Nah had to work so couldn't stay up to watch it.
Seems sammy and brown have stepped it up a gear under lennon, not only in pre season but the end of last season aswell.
Hopefully if aiden stays he can help him aswell.
In sayin all that these arent pressure games although i think lenny will have them well drilled when the league starts.

Seems Sammy might be getting his chance after all , hopefully he takes.

Some of his performances last season gave the impression he could be a good goal scorer for us. I'd rather take the chance with him, regardless of pre-season form, than play Samaras and know that inevitable disappointment will follow.

Why does everyone want that * half-wit to play for our club again? the guy gives about 20% a game, but now he has had a decent pre-season and scored 3 penaltys ( wow ) he has to be in our starting line? I'm speaking for the minority who want him in our team. We have gave him so many chances. But we are glasgow celtic, The guy aint good enough.

    rant over :50:

At times he's unplayable and i personally don't think he gives less than 100%...that's just my opinion of course.

His goals per game ratio aint good enough but remember he has been stuck out wide in the majority of games.

I believe given a good run in the team as our main striker he would get goals and be a very important member of our squad.

There is an old Chinese saying..."he who gets a another chance in life can go down two paths, the road to glory or the road to non-existence!".

can't stand him to be honest. doesn't handle the ball well. gives up on too many plays. doesn't make intelligent runs that open up space for other players. no football IQ, misses a least 2 sitters a game. complete dummy spitter. i'd take 2 mil for him

I want the guy to succeed so badly but im afraid if we give him another chance he'l not take it. Hes shown great form in pre season which i feel justifies keeping him providing we can afford to. If he isn't turning on the style by january then get rid. He's worth one last go.

I dont rate Samaras, He has the odd good game abd sometimes its a run of games when he plays out his skin, I want to leave BUT the guy give 110%!!!! I cant deny that. He NEVER hides in a game like a few players did last season.

Its very hard for me to dislike a celtic player. However, Samaras is up their with rafael sheidt . i hate the guy . ive expressed this on a few other posts. Hes lazy and his effort doesnt seem to be there...and we dont need this in the team..as i think the main thing about Lennons side this season will be hunger, drive and spirit. Hercules ...please * bid for him!!

In pre season samaras was right up their with scott brown in terms of hunger and desire. This could be the start of something great or merely just another false start but isn't it worth the risk atleast until january. Fair enough if he was on 50k a week and wasn't cutting it, then there would be a problem.

If im being totally honest I have been sooo soo critical of the big guy, but a part of me feels sympathy for him he just trys to hard in my opinion, I do think with a bit of confidence and backing he would be great, he does show pieces of brilliance now and then.

Hope he does well he has took some flack yes.

Samaras give a whole lot more than most of the other players .. He goes out and gives 100% whenever he plays!! The reason some of us want to see him play next season is because of his form in pre-season. "We are glasgow celtic" and we shouldn't be calling our players half-wits so please just lay off him and let him play. He performed so well in pre season because he knew people like you weren't there to give him a hard time.

I like the guy but he needs to work on his finishing big time if he's to have a future at Celtic - same goes for Fortune.

Samaras does not give 20%. I disagree big time with that. He always tries and gives his best even if its not always good enough. Alot of the time when the support really gives him a hard time and get on his back he still goes looking for the ball and never hides away il give him that. And he is the best striker we have. Our strikers records prove that. It would be pointless to sell him.
