Wish to * they would stick another tear on top of the main stand . would be great if it were a 70k seater

 

i dont see what is different apart from painting the grass and removing where is normally says lisbon lions stand.

if their gonna do anything build on top of that crappy stand

 

stadium star ratings were done away with in 2006, the "Elite" class stadia requirements will consist in waaayyy more than a few posters to upgrade us to that.

 

would be hard to fill m8. its hard enough just now

 

The only difference is colour and Glasgow 2014 signs.

 

posted this a while ago mate, gives you an idea of what is needed for Elite stadia, we fail on the dressingrooms, i know that much:

 

^ Can add Shakhtars new one, Galatasarays new one and Zenits new one to that list

 

There has to be better parking facilities for fans, that should be a priority.

It's a joke trying to get parked on match day without some ned trying to rip you off for 'watchin yer motor pal'.

 

Of the ten points in that list, how many does Celtic Park not have?

the dugouts are a joke, so i'd imagine that.

and the dressing rooms probably.

 

Haven't they just sealed it off temporarily for the countries coming in the bigger entrance, cos they wouldn't fit down the tunnel. This is how CP will look for the Commonwealth, a lot of it is temporary and won't look like that afterwards.

 

The Commonwealth Games committee have already said Celtic Park won't be getting upgraded, because it is only getting used for the opening ceremony. So there won't be any changes inside at all. The GCC were pushing for money to get it pushed to 80,000, ie built on top of the old main stand, but they were told where to go.

Plus, Celtic Park cannot be expanded any further. Right below the old main stand is a mine shaft. The weight of the new stand, the depth of the foundations etc would cause it sibside, thereby basically demolishin the whole stadium in one fell swoop!!!

thought they would have the opening closing ceremonies at hampden???

 

btw, just looking at the outside designs and that on the stadium, we should have celtic related ones round the stadium, brighten it up a bit.

 

think we dont have the changing rooms and tv studios for the stadium to be considered "elite"

also if i remember correctly the away dugout its really small that could also be an issue

 

its about time btw, the lounges need done up for a start, the sourounding areas are a dump at the moment, and the bit of plastic at the rangers end has always looked cheap imo.
