There was something in the Record saying his car had been tampered with, might have put him off signing! Shocking though.

    * * Lenny really is thinking very short term with guys like boateng and campbell - average age about 35. For every Davie Weir there are about 100 burned out has-beens at that age. I am half expecting Roger Millar or Carlos Valderama to be unveiled next!

the amount of tims who get a hard on for anyone from the English leagues is mental.

If Campbell and Boateng bring you short term success you might as well enjoy it, they'll also be helping your younger players develop, they bring a lot more to the table than their on field performances. Boateng is a fantastic professional and he won't demand too much in wages he's great to have around the club. Campbell is a bit of a different story cause of the way he's walked out of Notts County and walked out of a game at half time, maybe that's one to have a little more concern about.

Not a fan of Boateng as I stated earlier in the thread. But if the Daily R***** is correct in its report of his car wheels being loosened, then its time for major change in attitude of what it is acceptable to do &/or say to footballers playing for us or them. The scum must do time for attempted murder.

As to the age debate of signing big Sol &/or Boateng. Lenny is doing what needs to done to win the championship, which is the key to the future. Bring in good experience to blend into the squad, teach good habits & age good depth. Sol is still quality & I'm coming round to Boateng. Both will do well if they sign

we Lacked experience last season so lennon's brining in experienced players who know how to do a job and consistently, Saying they are too old when they can easily still play in the EPL is just daft. For anyone who isnt happy with the age of players were signing think would i rather have josh thompson someone young and still learning or would i want Sol Campbell someone who has caps for his country, played in champions league and won medals.

Read this in the Sun this morning...stated that his whells had been loosened and when he was driving on the motorway with his wife and two kids...the car started so shake violently and had to pull off! * shocking man! Plus he was supposedly getting abuse from a few drunken louts at his hotel! If this doesn't put him off coming to Celtic than he must have a very strong character.

It says the car was parked at Lennox town surely to * the club will have cctv watching the players car's . * disgraceful for this to happen ,

I never wanted him to join us but this sort of thing could put players off coming here shocking,

I know players change their cars very often but Boateng always had a Bentley Continental. I've never seen him in anything else, seems weird to downgrade from a Bentley to a BMW.

hmm dunno it aint been reported to police and a dnt think their would be yobs in hilton and dnt beleive he would say he was frightened to in case worse happened if he scored in a old firm game as he would be the least likely to score

tbh if this is our clubs level of security for our staff/players who would wanna come to this goldfish bowl.
hope it all isnt as it looks but could hinder us in the long term and future signings would be put of if they and family are in danger because they play for the wrong team in glasgow.

    * shocking that. This kind of * doesn't just harm our chances of bringing in signings but makes the city and country look like it's full of arseholes.

C'mon ffs its a story circulated by the Daily Ranger on the same day celtic sign a bright young talent in Ledley look to complete a loan for experienced crowd pleaser in bullard and invest in a strong old experienced head like boateng. Do ya really fink the daily ranger would be happy about this. If it was true why havent the hotel, police and celtic football club confirmed any of this as if true this would be national news i suspect
