The situation as it stands in the U.K

Gordy that sounds unfair on you mate. I don't understand it either. How can you struggle, pay your taxes and then get shunned for someone who has just wandered in?

I'm sure most people don't mind foreigners but when the population is quickly becoming more foreigners than nationals thats a worry.

 

Bring in hard working immigrants and cull the social sponging, jakkie, junkie natives and we'd have a great place, i.e the problem with society doesn't come from overseas, it's alot closer to home

 

Very true lenny1! I have heard the Polish are hard working though. There's one in my place and she is really nice.

 

There are many decent hard working immigrants who I know personally. I scaffold for a bunch of Polish roughcasters and they do their job well. My problem is with the Government who have opened the doors to far too many people who do not contribute to our society. We all know that there are far too many people both from here and not that abuse the system. In my flat there are two guys from latvia who are visibly disabled. I cant see what they offer to our society. Thats not me being racist or anti disabled, but why are they allowed to move here and live rent free with, I assume, a reasonable allowance from our taxes? We couldn't get away with that anywhere else in the world. For all the grafters and people who contribute then fine.

 

Exactlly , We are stuck here as we cant move on to start a new life in another country with good intentions of paying taxes working and abiding by thier laws,even when we prove we are hard working normal people and yet everyone and their dugs are allowed to flow in here no matter if their going to cost us money or not.

Then there is the ones that seek asylum comeing from the other side of the world saying their own country was gong to kill them

Well they might have broken the law or something mind u peados and junkies all life lifes of luxery here so why not forign killers or criminals.
And why dont they seek alylum in their neighbouring countrys or the other 36 countrys they by pass heading here.
Because we have one of the worst run governments in the world.
We all could live normal lives with little or much less than just now crime of any kind if we jus stood up and locked away for life peados and killers and junkies. It is not hard to do this and shouldnt cost much to build a massive hole or biulding in the middle of the sea for us to keep them without the ps2s and sky tvs.
But the government wants to keep these people out in the streets WHY ?

Dont get me started on Trying for jobs -

This is Racist - jobs like the police want to recruit more coloured and muslims say they want to balllance the difference in colour and *.
THIS IS BOLOX AND WHY IN THIS DAY AND AGE SHOULD U STOP EVERYDAY PEOPLE FROM GETTING A JOB BECAUSE OF THIER COLOUR.

so if ur normal uk person (normal means white not asian) then u dont have a chance even if u pass the tests with flying colours but colours with less test marks are going to have a better chance of getting the jobs.

- We are free to move to any country within the EU and work, so we are not confined to here.

-immigrants contribute to our society by doing the lowly paid jobs that the natives won't, especially the natives who prefer to get benefits rather than work.

-When your country colonises half the world and sucks the resources/wealth out countries and then leaves, how can you complain when a few of the natives follow you home. A little hypocritical imo

 

Look at the huge amount of Scots that are moving over to Spain and not doing a days work once over their, using Spain as a retirement home. It works both ways.

As i have said germany france and more countrys shut their borders when a good few poor countrys joined the eu not too long ago so they have all moved here .
Why did they shut the borders and we never.
Its funny how in every country in the world when there is an issue and the governments ignore the people the people go on strike or riot until the governmets fix the problem.

And what do we do when there is a problem sit in and watch big brother as everyone is too scared to stand up and fight for a normal life.
so being scottish is nothing to be proud of the country is a mess and unbeilevabley is still getting worse.

a few weeks ago there was not much space left in scottish jails so they will have to let some go early (eye good idea)

So what we cant afford to pay for the building of new prisons but we can pay for new houses for immagrants.

The way of life for people from here should be priority and until we can look after ourselves then we can start to help others.

lets start paying for our healthcare through work and stuff too like all the other normal countrys.

Infact * u all im out of here in a fw years and if u have any sense u will leave too.
your kids aint gonna have a life here mind u if they find a dollar in the street they can maybe have a go in the glasgow casinos.

Most of the call centres all moved out to india and places like that to pay them buttons.
And what happend whet we all said would some of them have been caught stealing peoples info where is the commom sense.........................................................................................................

 

So how does someone from another country coming over here to do low paid jobs adversely effect your day to day life?

 

we have more than enough people here that could fill these low paid jobs and an employer will pick the over us for interviews as they will be able to use them more.

we should make it that if u dont have a job then u get no help at all .instead of handing them out stuff.
we got too many people here.

 

Here mate as i said earlier people should be free to go live work have a life in any country any colour any whatever thats cool no one has a problem with that.

ASF we don't have too many people here. Scotland's population is actually falling and is continuing to fall.

There are plenty of jobs out there for all kinds of people, regardless of race or origin. It's a free world IMO and while I agree that there has been a rise in the number of foreigners we see in our cities, towns, etc I would say there is at least 80-90% are from here.

Foreigners don't affect my day to day living so perhaps that's why I don't mind them living and working here.

Although what does my * in is the sponging from the governments - not just foreign people but lazy arsed * who have no intention of getting a job because it's easy for them to claim.

 

Why is it falling ?

There was a campaign recently to attract immigrants to HELP the economy as the population was falling.

Ironically, the population of Scotland maybe on the decline with many people moving away. I hope they get a better reception in their adopted homeland!

I don’t think it is positive. Its hardly stopping discrimination, its just discriminating against a different group of people.

People should be given jobs by merit not colour of skin, and that works both ways.
