I'd get him signed up on a 3 year contract or something like that. He is our best striker in my opinion and even if we do sign one or two more strikers (likley one) don't we want to have strength and depth in the squad? We want our subs to be quality and he could be at worst a good impact player to have on our books.

 

give him a run of games and he'll score goals, it amazes me at how poor other players form has been over the last season or two and no one is at their throats (brown springs to mind)
if Sami has a suitable strike partner and a regular run in the team he'll score goals.
i'd say he'd do well playing behind Rasmussen and Fortune could be left out on the wing or on the bench.

hope he signs a new contract, if its a decent contract i think he would sign got a feeling form him that he really wants to play for us an that hes a bit of a celtic supporter tbh

 

on my life I cant believe everybody has gone from abusing him ti idoliisng him after 3 pens and a few pre season games this is the same player that constantly let us down for 2 years get rid of him only answer lets hope interested managers are as gullible

 

+1 there mate , but id like to have him around till the next transfer window and if he goes back into gorgeus george mode then punt him , we dont really need the cash for samaras if mcgeady goes for 10 mil and were short up front , no harm in trying him out till then id say

 

Alot of celtic fans dissapoint me with their constant abuse for a young international player (samaras) some fans will never take to him and it does dissapoint me we are supposed to be the best club in the world and the best fans i think its time some fans started actin like it instead of abusing 1 of our own.. i hope he stays and shuts everyone up.

You think his pre-season so far has been disappointing? I agree with a lot of fans that he is a very frustrating player but your only as good as your last game and sammy has been one of the standouts pre-season so regardless of his previous id keep him due to current form.

 

LOL his goals to min played are better than the other strikers at the club but you dont seem to mind that because you just dont like him..

There is a bigger picture here if you step back you might just see that,

I'm not saying he is awesome or anything like that but I would rather have him than the other diddy's...

sammy upped his game in they friendlies cos he wants away.the guy could be good if he only put more effort in every week.he never has and never will be good enough to be a first choice striker for us imo.if we keep him it should be to use as a winger only because thats where he is best

 

3 good pre season games does not make up for 2 woeful seasons.
You could see he was trying harder so why doesn't he do that every week?
He's too lazy and too inconsistent, punt him.

 

He's the best we have just now. So if we sell him we need to replace him with something better. I'd be looking for no less than £3.5 million aswell, we've just had to pay £2.4 million for a Championship striker, Samaras has Champions League and World Cup experience.

 

lets be honest here sammy will never be a striker for us, people can say what they like about him being the best striker we have, he has no heart when the going gets tough, i remember the season before last when we played hearts at parkhead in our last game of the season, we had to win it, and that big fudd was giving up on balls that even ah could have caught, imo...... no heart, no skill, and no balls. hopefully somebody buys us for him

 

just typical of the parkhead crowd ! blame samaras for everything ! he is the best striker we have and can also play wide. if everyone would get off his back he could be great for us. for £1.2m he was a bargain and is still only 25. get off the guys back and start backing him when he plays instead of waiting for him to make a mistake so u can shout at him.

 

What does typical of the Parkhead crowd mean dazza ? I am only expressing what i've actualy saw of big sammy, and that is that he is a big PUDDIN, I want my strikers to play in the penalty box, and score goals, remember its goals that wins games, what good is a striker out on the wing, who can he cross the ball into if he isn't where he is supposed to be, ............ in the penalty box.
