He came with such a high rating but fizzled away into the background and never dug himself out .
He has been giving plenty of time to shine but never really cut it,
Surely he most get sold this summer. I cant see him ever making an impact as we already have alot of midfielders.
We have to many squad players and I think koki is one we should sell to get a few quid in and the wage bill reduced.

What do you guys and ghirls think.

should be away soon enough mate :50:

tbh i never expected him to be anywhere near naka, but i thought he would be better than he is,

dont really agree with this unless of course u mean in reserves and training, but he never got many games in the first team, but i suppose u need to impress in training and reserves to play in the first team

tbh when i seen him in pre season this year i thought he was rotten and out of his depth, but its ashame how we have wasted his talents cause he started off as one of the best prospects in the j-league and now hes moving back to a team in the second tier in japan

He played the past few years in the reserves week in week out .

I have actually watched alot of him as I watch alot of reserve / bounce games .

If willie mc stay or lennon at the time seen anything special he would have been moved up and given a chance.

Remember the players our at lennoxtown nearly every day training if they our playing good footballl there it will get noticed.

He's been playing in the reserves practically since he came, maybe reflecting his standards ? If he hasn't done well enough in the reserves to get in the first team by now we are as well letting him go. Another Asian player brought in to sell a few tops in Japan after the commercial success of Naka.

I didnt realise he was actually going .There you go found something out.

    Mizuno set to join Kashiwa

<nomooter></nomooter>KASHIWA, Chiba Pref. (Kyodo) Koki Mizuno, who spent the past three seasons with Scottish Premier League giants Celtic, will join Kashiwa Reysol, the J. League second-division club said Saturday.
The midfielder's contract with Kashiwa runs from July 2 through Jan. 31, 2012.
Mizuno, 24, was limited to a total of 12 league and cup games over the three seasons. He was not even on the bench for most of the 2009-10 season.
While playing for JEF United from 2004-07, Mizuno scored 13 goals in 86 matches.

Im all for folk getting a chance but the management must see these guys every day. im not as cut throat as most celtic supporters, ie brilliant or ball sacks, so there is the possibility these guys (ie nakas pals) might thrive on confidence so we'll never know. for example, i dont think naka would have ever been ever been up to much if he'd had to spend loads of time on the bench. alas, his time is up here.

just wish we'd signed that honda now. we'd been linked with hime plenty in the past.

on another note, anno mizuno aint quite worked, but its a market id definately look at again, as they must have a few potential superstars

he got a bit of a look in in strachans last season, scoring away to falkirk and started the huns game at the *-hole 1-0 skippy.. but never really heard of him after that period..

yeah I don't recall him getting much of a shot above the reserves, outside that falkirk game where he scored and a handful of others, I thought he looked alright, not a wolrd beater by any means and certainly no naka, but decent enough.

Yes definitely, South Korea and Japan have put in some decent preformances at the world cup so far, a lot of obviously gifted players like Honda (out of our price range now unfortunately), but look at what happens, we have someone like Ki who has held his own the last couple of weeks at the top level, but some of our fans want to sell him even though he's only been here since january and barely had a chance, just because he's not enough of a hardnut for scottish football apparently, it boggles the mind.

Good to see he's going. Wanted the wee man to do well but i think both parties are better off if the deal goes through..there are too many midfielders as it is.

Meh we should have kept NAKA on for another season... Him going to Espanyol was rather pointless.

I wonder, could we have won the league just from his free kicks last season? Highly doubtful, but what a thought.

Not just his free kicks, but Naka's all round play, vision for spotting runs and picking a pass was a step ahead of anyone in the team at the time, and then when he was gone we brought Keane in and he was making runs and driving into space with nobody to feed him properly, I think the two of them together would have tore the spl a new hole.

    If only!

He was a lightweight, I will give you that. But so was Naka. We only liked him for his free kicks and shot accuracy. Take that away from him. He would not of been as much of a favourite as he is just now. Koki Mizuno hasn't had the proper chance. Pre-season yeah. He was playing against big clubs like Tottenham and Man City. You don't play teams at that level week in week out. How come Boyd was only played against SPL clubs. He is not capable of playing against the big teams. How come he has only scored 1 goal against us. Kris Boyd will have a torrid time if he moves down south. Turkey would be a good move for him.

Mizuno can cross and shoot relatively well-something Aiden can't. Still, Koki never got enough chances. Shame.
