If we could get Campbell, Ledley, Lawrence, Hooper/Lambert/Pederson, and either Keane or Bellamy, along with a decent left back, then I think we'd have real chnace of getting through the CL qualifiers. I also believe that the league would be a stick on.

In all honesty I suspect we could get the players mentioned above for around £15 million.

If we sell McGeady, Samaras and McManus we should bring in around £12 million.

With a net outlay of around £3 million we will have significantly strengthened the squad. We must have raised around £2 million with the January wheeling and dealing so it isn't a huge expenditure.

This would leave a squad of:

    Boruc
    Zaluska
    Hinkel
    New Left Back
    Misun
    Campbell
    Hooiveld
    Ronge
    O'Dea
    Loovens
    Wilson
    Ledley
    Lawrence
    Maloney
    McCourt
    McGinn
    Ki
    Brown
    Crosas
    Rasmussen
    Hooper/Lambert/Pederson
    Keane/Bellamy

You can then add in Simon Ferry, Cillian Sheridan, Paul McGowan, Paul Caddis and Josh Thompson when required.

Who knows, we might still get Bullard and perhaps Martin Petrov.

That's why I think we need keane like you said he's a proven striker at the top level.
The other two aren't but they have shown potential.

Either way I'd be happy with any of the three of them.

You only get what you pay for, pay peanuts and you get monkeys !!!

Good call mate, perhaps the penny has finally dropped as far as Lawwell and Desmond are concerned. The uptake on this years season tickets is poor compared to previous seasons, only by voting with our feet will we get a positive response from the Celtic board.

All these stories on " Big Money Signings " have been leaked and read before by the Celtic suppoerters, however now the support has held back on committing to a season ticket book the board will be forced to splash the cash, good news for Neil Lennon and the Celtic supporters.

I still don't forgive Lawwell and Desmond for not investing in the team during the 2009 January transfer window, since then we have on the decline while the Huns have become champions again, time to reverse this process.

Jeez, when you put it like that it does sound possible that we could get all those players without breaking the bank. I feel a bit more optimistic about what might happen this summer after reading that. Cheers mate. :50:

    Aw of them
Wanting Keano back and GETTING him back are 2 different things. Would love to see this happen but Im not holding my breath as lesser teams down south have more money.

Hope im wrong though I really do

If lennon was asked ''would you like cristiano ronaldo'' his answer would be yes as well.

it doesnt mean we are going to get him though, i dont think anyone should get their hopes up because if we get keane back here on any deal i think we will be pretty lucky and keane will be making sacrafices to do so.

I've just read that Spurs have signed Gudjohnsen on a 3 year deal and are after a Iaquinta from Juventus.

it's pretty clear that Harry Redknapp does not want him, but and here is the massive but. Does he want to come here full time whilst taking a massive pay cut?.

And would everyone be happy if the entire budget was spent on one player? I for one would not, as the side is missing more than just one to make us into the team we deserve.

I would rather just take the gamble on Pedersen at £2 million. We don't have the funds to sign players who cost what Keane does, he would cost at the very least 80% of our WHOLE budget.
